What once was a semi indie rock/acoustic Christian band, Infinite Days, has turned into the Christian Metal-Core band, Repressed Angel. We’ve changed a lot over the approximate year and a half from forming.

Started late August early September 2001, the band Infinite Days was getting nowhere.

December 2001, I met a couple of kids that got me interested in the Christian Metal/Hardcore scene, after that I wanted to crank up what we were already doing and make something of it.

March 16, 2002, I found out that a friend of the band had died the day before, and my aunt had died that morning. So the next week we performed a song I had earlier written about September 11 called “Are You Ready”. The band could apparently already since the change in my style, so a couple of days later, two of the guys decided it would be best if we went our own ways, so I did.

Early April 2002, I decided to get a Christian Metal band together. So since Infinite Days drummer, John Fesmire, more enjoyed the style I wanted, he stayed with me. We called former I.D. bassist, Blake ‘Cracker’ Prater, who had left I.D. back in December to try playing guitar. He had little talent, but the rest of us weren’t any better. So we worked with what we had, vocals, drums, and guitar, no bass, and a power unlike any other guiding us.

May 31, 2002, we play our first show at our church, opening up for another Christian Metal band. We found a bassist by the name of Kyle Simmons. That one show branched off to several shows during Summer 2002.

August 2002, we recorded our first Independent C.D. at a local studio in our home town. It went over pretty well. A few shows at Taco Bell kinda helped CD sales a little.

December 2002, we got a new bassist by the name of Stephen McPeake, and we did a show with 3 other bands, one of which has joined us in our Christian Metal & Punk Ministry (C.M.& P.M.).

February 2003 (presently), we are going to record our 2nd C.D. later this month called “The Akward Smell of Death”

So if you want a Christian Metal-Core band that is as hardcore in their walks with Christ, as they are in their music, you want Repressed Angel. Our demo may lack excellence as far as sound quality goes, but we more than make up for all that in our onstage performance. Vocally and musically we have a unique sound that mixes simplicity with an akward complication.
