In only ten months Sault Ste. Marie's Redefined is more than starting to scratch the surface of the music world. The four man band (John Barber vocals, Josh St. Amour bass, Matt Sibilo guitar, and Dan O'Shea drums) have been playing shows and sharing the energy that has been making them many fans over the past months. In December the band won the "Extreme Band Slam" competition in North Bay and brought home a prize of 5 thousand dollars. They will now be showcased at Candian Music Week in Toronto and be competing against 11 over the top bands in Toronto's "National Showdown" the winner will be crowned the #1 unsigned band in Canada.

The release of their demo cd in October proved to be a well executed move as the band has sold over 500 copies of the disc and the song "shackles" has been featured on CBC radio. Armed with crowd favorite songs such as "Travis Walton" "Insane Dog" and "Fellow Bedwetter" Redefined has been living up to their reputation of an explosive live show with powerful and passionate original songs. Recently they have been performing at home and abroad performing original material and making new friends. Redefined has certainly been living up to their motto of "risk and uncertainty" and is very much not becoming "just one of 'em all".
