The main members of Poppies are Ashley Smart and James Percy. James And Ash used to be in an alternative rock band called this dumb desire. After this band broke up back in 2001 James and Ash decided to carry on making music. In late 2003 James finally learnt how to play the guitar. Ash and James' songwriting efforts are on this site recorded through two microphones on to an old 1970s tape deck. The instrumentation is just a acoustic guitars and the odd tambourine.
