March 8 2002…
I came out school, and at 3:45pm I went by train to Utrecht Central Station.
There I met up with Inge. We were both so excited about it all.
We went outside and all we could talk about was O-Town and O-Town! We watched each other's pictures
and waited for Bianca to come and pick us up to go to Germany. After a while we met up with her
somewhere at the Holiday Inn parking. And off we were!
We drove till Eindhoven and there we took a break. We ate something and shopped around.
Found nothing though. Not even a decent record store that sells O-Town CDs!
We drove on to Germany, to Cologne. Once there, we had driven all around Cologne, but no
hotel yet! We asked some people if they knew where the Hyatt Hotel was. They sent us everywhere,
and after an hour or so, we finally arrived at the Hyatt! So we got out the car, that we parked
around the corner.
We walked to the front of the hotel, and we saw a lot of people behind barricades.. We knew it was
serious there. A lot of fans, and soon we found out there were more artists there, in fact, all the
artists for the BRAVO Supershow stayed there! So, all of a sudden we saw all these flashes and
girls yelling "Ash! Ash!" Our hearts started beating and we ran towards the barricades => I saw
Ashley walk in the hotel. I started screaming "Ash! Your Dutch roadies!" He walked in and did
some crazy things in the sliding doors.
Darn, we had just missed them! But, we had a room for Saturday night! Inge called the hotel to
ask if there was a room available for Friday night too. But the hotel was fully booked. We stayed
outside the hotel for a little while. We saw Jacob inside, walking to the bar and back.
We went to search for a café or bar, cos we needed to go to the bathroom. We found this place where
we drank something and went to the bathroom.
And so we slept in the car that night. It was a lot of fun, but also really uncomfortable. I was on
the backseat. We couldn't sleep at all. We slept for 30 minutes, then woke up and talked, listened
to music, fell asleep again for 1 hour and woke up again, talked, music… Fell asleep…
