C: Nalbuphine HCL.
I: Relief of moderate to severe pain. Pre-op analgesia, as a supplement to balanced anesth, surgical anesth, for obstetrical analgesia during labor & relief of pain following MI. Post-op somatic & visceral pain.
D: adult 0.15-.2 mg/kg body wt. Childn. 0.1 –0.2 mg/kg up to a total single dose of 10mg SC, IM or IV. May be repeated 3-6hr as needed.
SP: Impaired renal or hepatic function. Billiary tract surgery, impaired respiration, MI. labour & delivery.
AR: Sedation. Infrequently sweating, GI upsets, vertigo dizziness; dry mouth; headache, allergic reactions.
DI: phenothiaziness; alcohol, CNS depressants.
P/P: amp 10 mg/ml x 1 ml x 10’s (P850), 100’s (P8,500).
