Since my poster flyer supply was quite abundant, I kept a box in my car at all times for any quick promotional 'tag'. Anytime I stopped for gas, stopped to shop, picked up groceries, etc I tried to promote. I also kept a supply of flyers in my purse (a messenger bag--lots of room!) so in case I had a chance to hand someone flyers or tag some cars, I would be ready. I didn't have my camera with me every single time but I have pictures here that represent the different types of places I did promotions at. (Please note that about 20 or so pictures were lost in my other camera when it was run over by a van on 4th of July weekend. I had to get a new one and start over) As you can see in the picture below, I even put a couple posters in the back window of my car (which btw doesn't get ANY attention at all....lol!)
I hit up many local restaurants, convience stores and beer stores. Some restaurants denied me because of the fact the flyers had a beer logo on them and they didn't feel it appropriate, most people were really cool about it
I went to beauty/barber shops and nail salons too
I tried getting creative and started going to commonly used places, such as car washes and laundry mats. I figured I would just plaster the flyers everywhere someone would have to look, like the change machines, vaccuum machines, trash cans, on top of the washers, etc. I recruited friends to help me. They took flyers to their work to put in break rooms, took them to school to hang up in various places and a couple had parties where I was able to hang up flyers along their fences and doors as they were setting up.
