This is a classic story of a few neighborhood kids with a passion for metal and loud music all growing up in a moist hot suburbia neighborhood in Houston, TX. They went to school together and raised hell together. Dag (throat) had been doing vocals since he was in 7th grade; it wasnt untill 2 years later when his to fellow metal heads brought up the idea of getting serious and starting a band. They went through the steps; Pihn was the first to get his weapon, choosing the drums. After word Kricket choose the guitar and Dag choose vocals. After they had picked their weapons it was time to pick a name for the band, so they sat down in Pihns living room with slips of paper and a santa claus hat. They randomly picked a name; the name was to be K.I.A. but this did not stick. They wanted a name that meant pain and destruction and they finally found one: Metastasis. This would be the the title these three young metalheads would carry with pride. There was one problem. After finding a bassist (Havix) they found they wanted something not so ordinary but bizzare: something that would stand out from the rest, but be original. They studied bands like slipknot, mudvayne, mushroomhead, even metallica to find a sound that fitted them. They worked hard even though Kricket had moved away. He sent tapes and recodings to his band mates in Texas until they found that their sound was evolving and they had found what they were looking for. Will they go all they way? To be continued...
