Welcome to the homepage of Martini Jones and The Gearheads! Pictured above, left to right, is Ryan, Jeremy, and Mike. I am the lead singer's sister, Cassie, also known as "the groupie", so I considered it my duty to make their first web page. Even though Jeremy is my only brother, I consider all 3 guys my brothers, its nice to have such good guys looking out for you.

These guys are your typical, everyday gentlemen. Jeremy (my brother) is 22, he and his beautiful wife have been married for a little over 2 years now and they have an amazing son. He is 3 and his name is Bradley... He is Jeremy's inspiration on a lot of things musically and just in life. Ryan, a.k.a "Louie" is 22, he is single, but he is one hell of a guy and he has a lot to offer. And last but definitely not least, Mike is 28; he is also single. And he too is an amazing guy. He has 2 darling boys, Isaac who is 2 and Alex who is 4.

The band has been together for about 3 months now, and has opened for The Seven Devils in Boise, Idaho and they play at a local bar every other week.

It has been so amazing to watch these guys come as far as they have. They sound awesome! If you live in the Boise area, you should check them out at Strikers bar in Meridian every other Thursday. (See dates below)

Strikers is located at: 324 S. Meridian Road for more information you can call them at: (208)-888-6908

Performance Dates For October:
11/13/03
11/27/03
The guys do a large range of songs from country covers to rock covers and a lot of their own stuff. They have covered songs such as: Lynyrd Skynryd's "Sweet Home Alabama", Doby Grey's "Drift Away", Marty Robbins' "Big Iron", Robert Allan Wade's "If You're Gonna Be Dumb", and many more!

The guys all have the same interests... NASCAR. Their favorite driver is Dale Earnhardt Jr. They are true fanatics. When they perform at the bar, they take a Dale Jr. flag and hang it on the front of the stage. They say it's for comfort.

Some more info on the guys: Jeremy plays a custom built half strat, half tele-frankenstrat. He has played the guitar since he was about 6. He took interest in it really quick since our dad used to me a musician. Our dad even toured with Johnny Cash! The guys miss Johnny Cash, RIP. Mike has learned how to play the drums very quickly. He was introduced to Jeremy when Mike and Ryan started hanging out. So as soon as they found out that he was interested in becoming a band, he got some drums and learned right away. He hadn't even picked up a drumstick before hand, but if you were to listen to him today, you would think he had been playing his whole life.
Ryan and Jeremy had been trying to start a band for about 10 years. They have gone through about 3 drummers, but they finally struck gold with Mike.

Jeremy "Martini" Schmidt

Jeremy was born in Pocatello, Idaho in 1981. He grew up there and we moved to Boise when he was 9, then we moved to Meridian when he was 10. He went to Pocatello Elementary School, then Chief Joseph Elementary, Meridian Middle School, and Eagle High School. He dropped out after 9th grade and got his GED. Making a band has been his dream since he was in middle school.

Mike "Da Wrench" Carl

"Playing at Strikers is like we are practicing at home. Everyone is so nice to us it is really a lot of fun to be able to perform at our favorite bar. What inspires me to play is that there is a million beats that have not been discovered yet, and I plan to find as many as I can."
"The cool part about playing the drums is that there is always something to learn, and I love to learn new stuff. My favorite songs are Marty Robbins' "Big Iron", Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile", Folsom Prison, and all of our originals."

Mike was born in Nampa, Idaho in 1975. He grew up in Sand Hallow. He received 11 years of schooling before he had enough. He went to New Plymouth Jr. Sr. High. He has received his GED, and has been through 2 semesters of college.
