Who Are Laverneium?

And Well you may ask. We are a 3-piece of struggling musicians (struggling with each others' egos, struggling with lugging amps up stairs - why can't the make girl-size amps that make decent noise? - and struggling with our conciences) based just north of london. As yet, there are no pictures of us on the site because our so-called webmaster doesn't have a scanner (intelligent choice for webmaster there, ladies...) but never mind. We wouldn't want you judging us based on our looks now, would we?!

First of all, there's Chaz. She brought us together really, introducing Kat to Alice. She's scarily tall, dark and mysterious. Well, that's what she likes to think. In reality you can never shut her up and we doubt there's anything she's done that half the world doesn't know about. She's the driving force behind the band really, she writes most of the songs, plays keyboards and sings like nothing on this planet. In a good way, honest.

Next up is Kat. She met Chaz last year at college where they spend most of their time in the music block in soundproof rooms. We don't ask what they do in there, but we're sure it's not practicing. Kat's the best guitarist this side, or any side, of the Watford Gap. She models herself on Charlotte Hatherley and her best moment ever was when she met Tim Wheeler earlier this year.

That jsut leaves Alice. The Quiet One. Or so she'd like you to think...get a few drinks inside her and she's nattering away with the best of them and generally the instigator of rediculous drinking games which involve getting the guys in the band we're playing with that night as close to naked as possible. She would be our drummer and she idolises Animal off the muppets.

Our influences, we would like to think, are pretty wide. They're probably not as wide as we think though...Mostly Ash, Kenickie (hence our name!), Manics, Garbage, Helen Love, King Adora and Easyworld, although every now and then Alice will drag out an old Elkie Brooks album or something. Then we hit her hard and she puts 1977 back on.
