Chapter 7: This Time

That night, Greg took a cab to Laura's house. There were no cars in her driveway. Laura was in the kitchen fixing something to eat dancing and singing to New Kids on the Block.
Greg- New Kids on the Block? Try again.
(Narrator)OK. She was listening to LFO's "Life is Good." Is that better?
Greg- Yup.
He walked up her front steps and rang the doorbell. The music turned off and the door opened.
Laura- Oh it's you. I thought I made it clear that we were over. Good-bye.
She tried to shut the door but he put his foot in it.
Laura- What are you doing?
Greg- Can I just say something?
Laura- You got 15 seconds. Go.
Greg got down on one knee and started singing "This Time." Tears filled her eyes. When he finished, he got up.
Greg- Will you forgive me Laura?
Laura- Of course!
She grabbed him and kissed him.

Frankie was in his room blasting Creed when he heard a knock at the door.
Mrs. Galasso- Frankie. Open up.
He opened the door.
Mrs. Galasso- There is a beautiful red-headed girl down stairs for you.
Frankie- That's Miranda.
Mrs. Galasso- I know. She introduced herself to me. Such a sweet and polite girl. I like her.
Frankie- So do I. Send her up mom.
Miranda went into Frankie's room.
Frankie- Hey Baby. What are you doing here?
Miranda- You haven't heard have you.
Frankie- Heard what?
Miranda- Kirstin called me up hysterically crying. Her and Chris got into this really big fight and broke up.
Frankie- What happened?
Miranda- They were eating pizza at Imperial when a brunette girl walked over to them. It was Chris' ex girlfriend Carly. She gave him a big hug and kissed him. Chris gave her a weird look abut didn't say anything to her. She introduced herself to Kirstin as Chris' girlfriend. Kirstin through a fit! She screamed at both of them causing a scene. She told both of them to go to he** and she told Chris it was over and she ran out in tears.
Frankie- Carly showed up? Oh g-d. Chris dumped her 2 months ago but she's still in denial.
Just then Frankie's cell phone rang.
Frankie- Hello?
Chris- Frankie? It's Chris.
Frankie- Are you crying?
Chris- Yeah. Kirstin dumped me.
Frankie- Yeah I know. Miranda told me that Carly showed up.
Chris- And she hugged and kissed me. It was weird and disgusting. Then she told Kirstin that she was my girlfriend. Kirstin screamed at me and almost beat the sh*t outta Carly. She dumped me and ran out hysterically crying. I yelled at Carly. I told her that we are not a couple and it has been over between us for 2 months. She tried to kiss me again but I pushed her away and said "What part of we're over don't you get?" I told her to get a life, leave me alone and to never come near me or Kirstin, my girlfriend, again. I ran out after Kirstin but she was already gone. I want her back Frankie! I know that I haven't known her for long but I love her!
Frankie- Calm down Chris! Write her an e-mail on my name and tell her to meet you somewhere. Tell her it's me and that I need to talk to her about Miranda. When you get there, sing your solo to her.
Chris- When and where should I meet her?
Frankie- Tomorrow night at 7:30. Belmont Lake.
Chris- Perfect Frankie! You're the coolest!
Frankie- Well I try. I'll talk to you later. Bye.
They hung up.
Miranda- What's going on?
Frankie- OK. Don't tell Kirstin. Chris is going to write her an e-mail saying to meet him at Belmont Lake tomorrow night at 7:30. The thing is, Chris is going on my screen name to write it saying that he's me and that I need to talk to her about you.
Miranda- That's a good plan!
At Kirstin's house, she was sitting on her bed talking on the phone with her friend Shawna.
Kirstin- I can't believe him!
Shawna- How could he do that to you? He obviously doesn't know what an awesome girl you are!
Kirstin- G-d that Carly. If I EVER see her again, she won't live till 2002!
Shawna- What about Chris?
Kirstin- Oh he'll get his. Believe me! Hold on. I have a beep.
She changed to the other line.
Kirstin- Hello?
Matt- Hey it's Matt.
Kirstin- Hey Matt. Hold on a sec.
Matt- OK.
She went back over to Shawna.
Kirstin- Shawna? I gotta go. I'll talk to you later.
Shawna- OK bye.
She went over to Matt.
Kirstin- Hey. Sorry. I was on the other line with my friend Shawna.
Matt- Oh. I heard about you and Chris. He called me up crying.
Kirstin- I don't care about Chris anymore because he is obviously too busy with Carly to care about me.
Matt- He dumped her 2 months ago. She still thinks he’s joking.
Kirstin- He let her hug him! And kiss him!
Matt- Well I have to say he's an a*hole for that but when you left, he through and even bigger scene then you did.
Kirstin- What do you mean?
Matt- He screamed at Carly! He told her that they weren't a couple and that it had been over for 2 months. Then she tried to kiss him again but he pushed her away and said "I told you! We're over! How can you not understand that? Leave me alone and never go near me or Kirstin, my girlfriend again." Then he ran out after you, but you were gone.

Kirstin- I don't care. He still let her kiss him! Matt- I know. I guess you had a right to dump him after that.
Kirstin- Can we change the subject?
Matt- Sure... Greg and Laura are back together.
Kirstin- Really?
Matt- Oh. I gotta go. It's Louie and Brian on the other line.
Kirstin- Bye Matt.
They hung up and she went down stairs and went online. She heard the YOU GOT MAIL.
JesterDSHottie- Hey.
ChRiSsLaXiNbAbE426- Hey Jesse. I think I gotta change my screen name.
JesterDSHottie- I know. I heard. How you doin?
ChRiSsLaXiNbAbE426- OK I guess. Hold on. I gotta check my mail.
JesterDSHottie- OK. I g2g anyways ttyl.
ChRiSsLaXiNbAbE426- Lator Gator.
He signed off and she checked her mail. She read the letter from Chris/ Frankie. She wrote him back saying that she'd be there.
