Chapter 5: Pancakes
The next morning, Matt awoke at 8:00 to the sun shining on his face. He looked around and saw that he wasn't at Frankie's but still at Miranda's. He looked down and saw Maxine asleep in his arms. He smiled and ws about to go back to sleep when Jesse woke up. He too looked around and at Kristi who was asleep on his shoulder. Matt whispered to him.
Matt- Jesse.
Jesse looked at him.
Jesse- We're dead! I can't believe we fell asleep! My mom is gonna kill me!
Matt- Mine too. We should wake the other guys.
Matt slowly got up and layed Maxine down successfully without waking her up.
He went over to where Frankie and Miranda were sleeping and he shook Frankie trying not to wake Miranda up.
Matt- Frankie, wake up.
Frankie opened his eyes.
Frankie- What?
Matt- It's 8:00 in the morning. We fell asleep. We're still at Miranda's!
Frankie- Oh sh*t we are so dead!
Jesse was over by Greg and Laura. He was whispering in Greg's ear to try to wake him up. Greg got up. He looked at Laura and then looked at Jesse.
Greg- Dude! We're still at Miranda's!
Jesse- Wow! You're quick! Now get up without waking Laura.
Frankie walked over to Chris and Kirstin.
Frankie- Hey Chris! Get up! Kirstin's in the kitchen and wants to give you a lap dance!
Chris woke up right away.
Chris- She's right here dude, sleeping with me... in Maranda's living room. Oh sh*t we are in so much trouble!
Frankie- No kidding. Come in the den but don't wake Kirstin up.
All 5 guys walked into the den and sat on the couches.
Matt- What are we gonna do?
Chris- I don't know. We could leave now and go back to Frankie's.
Greg- What if our parents called? What do we tell them?
Frankie- Calm down. We'll tell them that we went out for breakfast.
Jesse- I think we should wake the girls.
Chris- Yeah. Let's go.
They walked back into the living room and over to their girls.
Greg- Hey Sexy. Wake up.
Laura- (Half asleep) 5 more minutes mom.
Greg- Come on wake up. It's Greg.
She opened her eyes.
Laura- Oh hi Greg... GREG! What the hell are you doing here?
Greg- We fell asleep last night. Come on it's time to get up.
She got up and sat on the couch.
Matt- Cutie. Get up. It's Matt.
Maxine- Hey Sweetie Pie. What are you doing in my dream?
Matt- This isn't a dream. We're at Miranda's.
She stood up real fast and fell backwards onto Matt. She was about to scream but Matt put his hand over her mouth.
Matt- Calm down. I'll take my hand off your mouth if you promise not to scream.
She nodded and he took his hand off.
Maxine- What are you doing here?
Matt- We fell asleep last night. Are you OK?
Maxine- I am now.
They sat on the floor together.
Frankie- Baby.
She groaned.
Frankie- Wake up Baby.
She opened her eyes and stared at Frankie.
Miranda- How come you guys are still here? OMG what time is it?
Frankie- We fell asleep. It's 8:20 in the morning.
She sat up.
Miranda- OMG! I am in so much trouble! My mom is gonna kill me if she finds out that you guys slept over!
Frankie- Shhhh. Everything is gonna be OK.
He gave her a big hug.
Chris- Babe?
He scratched her tummy and she giggled still sleeping.
Kirstin- Stop Chris! I'm putting make-up on!
Chris- Huh? Kirstin. Wake up Babe.
She slowly opened her eyes and saw Chris leaning over her, his face inches away from hers.
Kirstin- Why did you come over so early in the morning?
Chris- I was here all night with you. We fell asleep together. So did everyone else.
Kirstin- We fell asleep together?
Chris- Yup. I woke up and saw the most beautiful girl in my arms asleep.
Kirstin- Aw! Wait! I'm in trouble! My mom will disowne me if she knows that we slept over with guys last night!
Chris- Relax. She won't find out.
She sat up and stretched. Jesse sat down next to Kristi and watched her as she talked in her sleep.
Kristi- Go away! Leave me alone! Help me Jesse! He's trying to kill me! Jesse! Help!
Jesse shook her. She sat up and opened her eyes. He hugged her.
Jesse- It's OK Sweetie. No one is trying to kill you. You were having nightmare. I'm right here.
Kristi- I was so scared! Wait a minute... why ARE you here?
Jesse- Me and the guys fell asleep here last night.
Kristi- Oh god we're all in trouble!
They were all sitting in Miranda's kitchen trying to think of something.
Kirstin- I got it! You guys leave now. Go to Frankie's. If your parents are up and wondering were you are...
Frankie- I'll tell them that we went for breakfast. And if you guys parents are there... we'll tell them that too.
Matt- What about last night? How do we explain that?
Jesse- We got home late.
Chris- But what if they were up all night waiting for us to get home?
Greg- Then we're screwed but I guess that's a chance we'll have to take. Come on. Let's go.
The guys kissed their girls good- bye and left.
Kirstin- I'm hungry.
Maxine- Me too.
Miranda- Who wants pancakes?
The girls- ME!
