.Encounters With the Guyz.

Okay guys now it's yoooooooour turn. Have you ever met Dream Street, give the details, email them to me and i'll post 'em. I fixed that big empty space that used to be after one of the encounters, I finally got the picture to work. It's a thumbnail so you need to click it to see it bigger. Here's my encounter with the guyz at the Balloon festival in Shirley on August 19,2001:

Me and my two friends Nicole and Mallory went to the Balloon Festival. We were looking for this girl they both knew named Karen who had an extra ticket that I needed to get into the reserved seating section. We were getting really worried, because they did the sound check and we still couldn't find her. We finally found someone with a cell phone and so we called Karen and we finally got in. There were seats, but almost no one sat in them, there was an area up in front where everyone stood close to the stage. We stood there from 12 to about 2:30 2:45, because first they had new acts or whatever and the whole time everyone was screaming for Dream Street and stuff. Finally they came out and they performed, you almost couldn't hear them over the screaming and singing along. Greg and Chris looked at my friend one time, and I took soooo many pictures. Greg threw this shirt he wore for part of the show (over another one :( ) into the audience but I didn't catch it :(. It was drizzling a little bit but then when they started to sing "Feel the Rain," it started to rain a little harder. Also, right before they started to sing it, during the little intro music Chris realized his shoe was untied and bent down to tie it and stood back up just in time to start singing and dancing!! One of the people I was with noticed that there was already a line for the meet and greet so right before the last song her and my other friend ran out to get online. We almost got to go backstage because a girl we were with worked at BLI, but we didn't get to. So we waited online for like an hour or so and we were getting worried that we wouldn't get to meet them and get their autographs because first people said they were only signing for 15 minutes then a half an hour, so my friends wanted to try and "inch forward (I protested I swear!)" We found these people we had met at the concert and so we stood with them for another hour and finally we got to meet them. I was so nervous I was shaking! I gave each member a orange and blue bracelet that I had made for them and then I gave Chris two bags of sour patch kids, Frankie two bags of Peanut Chews, Jesse a huge bag of Hershey kisses, Greg umm i think it was pez LoL and matt a bag of reeses pieces m&m's. My friend (who didn't get to come) is a really good artist so she drew a picture of the group for me and I had them each sign it. Chris asked me if I made it myself (I wanted to say yes soooo bad!), Frankie said thanks for the candy, Jesse said Thanks Baby!, Greg said thanks, Matt said thanks and he asked me for a high five. They were so polite about it, but I was really pissed because I wanted to get pictures but the dumb security guards wouldn't let us!!! It wasn't until after that I realized I didn't leave any notes or nothing with the candy :P. Later on we waited for them to leave and while we did we saw all their parents who were really nice and we met Jesse's younger brother who is absolutely ADORABLE! Oh yeah, we also got Chris (and I think Greg too) to say on video tape I love," and then all of my friends names (Claudia, who is also very sweet, video taped it for us) the only problem was she forgot to press record sooooo it's not on tape. After that I just HAVE to meet them again!!!!

Well lets start from the begining. one moring after a sleepover of mine my friend danielle was watching tv and saw their comercial and was like "hey those guys are HOT" LOL I was like yea that day we went to the music store to buy their cd. When we were there we saw a poster (that i now have hanging in my room) that said that u could meet them at that store on wed july 11th. (yes im very sad that it is the same date only 3 months from the tragic accident) Well anyway, We were so happy and then we asked my mom if she could drive us there. It started at 5 but i had a docters oppiotment at 4 so we had to wait on a 3 hour line. but it was all worth it. Well, when we were on line I saw this temporary marrige card and i bought it and filled it out with my and chris's name and gave it to him when we got up there.

I became a Dream Street fan about 3 months ago, and after tons of planning to go see them at other places (which never really got me anywhere) I finally got the chance to go and see Dream Street at The South Street Seaport. It was supposed to just be a signing session but I later found out that they'd be performing, as well. I invited my close friend, Inara, to come with me since I didn't feel like being there all by myself and she accepted-even though she never even heard of Dream Street, she just had nothing better to do that day. we decided to meet in front of her house and from there ride the subway to The South Street Seaport (I live in Queens, NY so it only took us about 30 min to get there). During the ride I showed Inara my collection of Dream Street Pics (Which is HUGE) And she quickly mentioned the fact that they look like 10 year olds. I assured her that after the concert, she wouldn't think so.

So we were about a block away from Pier 17, Expecting to have a few hours left for us to shop since it was around 12PM And Dream Street would only come out at 5PM but when we got there, we were surprised to find a couple of people there, already (30, Or So). Knowing me, Inara got ready to stand on her feet for the next 5 hours, because I sure wasn't planning on moving. It was probably the hottest day ever and I drank bottle after bottle as I watched some workers place all the sound devices around. At about 4PM, Louie came out and started handing out water bottles and told us that if it would start raining, Dream Street wouldn't be able to perform. It was about 4:50PM and all of a sudden it started raining like CRAZY! I've have never seen rain like that. I still had my hopes up that Dream Street would perform but just then, some workers began to remove The sound machines from the stage. While Inara and I were standing out there in the rain we met a couple of people and became friends with this girl, Lauren from Long Island. After a while, the rain stopped and Louie came out again and told us that Dream Street is ready to do the signing and that we should all hurry upstairs. The three of us ran the fastest we could and ended up at the very end of the line anyways. Luckily, Lauren's mom had gotten there way before us and saved spots at the front of the line. After standing around and not moving for 20 minutes, I decided I couldn't take it anymore and had to see Dream Street. I told Lauren and Inara to save my spot and that I'd be right back. As I walked toward the very front (where It Was Easier To See Dream Street) I imagined them to look exactly like I was used to seeing them on TV or in magazines, but when I saw them, I couldn't believe my eyes... They were sOoOoO much hotter in person. They were all so amazingly gorgeous!!! For some reason, I couldn't control myself and tears started streaming down my face. I walked back to Lauren and Inara and told them that by just standing online they were missing out on ALOT! Just then, we moved up and Dream Street was fully visible. Each guy stood up several times and the screams got louder each time. Jesse got up and I started screaming, "Jesse your so HOT, I LOVE YOU!!!" And he looked at me and waved!!! I was so surprised! There were 8 more people left to go before us and Louie made an announcement: "Since its not raining that bad anymore, Dream Street will do the performance now and get back to signing later". I got SO pissed, considering the fact that we were a couple of minutes away from meeting them and Louie just had to make the announcement then! Either way, Lauren, Inara and I ran down the slippery stairs, pushing people out of the way and finally getting there. We stood in the very center of the crowd (We had a pretty good view) We had to wait 20 minutes before Dream Street actually came out, but it wasn't that bad since everyone was throwing around beach balls that were provided to us by Louie. So it was kind of fun, I guess you could say. Finally, (Which seemed like forever!) Louie came out and said something like, "All Dream Street wanted to do for so long was perform in NY! They'd tell me they couldn't wait to get back home, to NY!" And all of the girls started screaming and jumping up and down, of course. Just then, Louie welcomed Dream Street on stage and everyone went CRAZY! Let me tell you, if you still haven't gone to a Dream Street concert, you are missing out on so much! As soon as they started, Inara (Who told me from the start she wouldn't like DS and they looked like ten year olds), fell in love with Greg and began thanking me for bringing her. Those guys are AMAZING on stage! During Sugar Rush, Jesse waved to me... During Feel The Rain, Greg winked at me, And during Someone To Hold Me Tonight, Chris pointed at me!!! I was having the time of my life, it was so hilarious because during one of the songs (I forgot which one) Greg started doing this little strip tease, It was so adorable, He took of his shirt, which he later threw into the audience-WOW, You should have seen those girls fighting for that shirt. I bet they missed out on most of the concert while trying to get the shirt. During "Jennifer Goodbye", Greg picked out a girl from the audience, Christina. He even picked her up into his arms- It was so sweet. He also found a way to put her name into the song, So instead of Jennifer Goodbye, He sang Christina Goodbye. She was so lucky! After the concert Louie told us to go on line and wait our turn to see DS. It was horrible! Everything was so disorganized and everyone was pushing and arguing. We were probably on line for 45 minutes before the security guard let us on to the main line. I was SO afraid and nervous- I had no clue what to expect. After a few more minutes, I found myself standing in front of Chris (He was the first guy sitting). It took him a while to realize I was there because he was looking behind him for something (Don't ask me what, I have no clue). He turned to me and said "Hey, how you doing?" And I started saying, "OMG, Chris I love you so much, Your so hot! And I've got an obsession with sunglasses just like you do. My dad owns an optical store in the city, I had his card before but if got soaked in the rain, sorry," He said "Really?" As he opened up his arms to give me a hug and I went in, just then he kisses my cheek!!! While he was signing my poster, I began to tell him how I have a thing with guys' hands and his hands are so hot! (Hehe, I'm strange). He looked at his hands and started laughing. Then he stuck out his left hand to shake hands with me (It was really weird because usually you shake hands with the right, but he stuck out his left). I shook his hand and asked if I could take a picture with him and he said sure, stood up and put his arm around me, Inara took the picture. Chris gave me another hug but this time after we let go he still had his hand on my arm and was caressing it, HE IS SUCH A FLIRT! (But then again, I'm not complaining- don't get me wrong!) Hehe. Next was Greg, But the thing is, Matt was sitting right next to him so I talked to the both of them at the same time. I said, "Hi, you guys were great. I love you some much, you rock!", And Greg said, "Aw thanks!" And then he loked at my shirt, which was black and had the number 68 in silver with diamond studs all over it, And said (While cracking up), "Haha, your shirts a number down" (Get it, 69! LOL...C'mon, They're Guys for God sakes!) He then turned to Matt and point at my shirt and the both of them started laughing again. I asked them for a picture and they said "Alright." Inara got into the picture since the love of her life (Greg) was in it too, hehe. What I didn't realize was that Chris got in it also. But I only discovered that once I got the film developed. Next was Frankie, nothing much happened with Frankie, but I did get a picture. Then, last but definetly not lease, was Jesse. He was still talking to the girl who was in front of me and then I realized that he still hadn't signed my poster so I asked him if he could as he replied "Uhh, I don't have a pen...Wait! Louie, can I get a pen here??" (The kid looked so desperate, haha it was the cutest thing EVER). He finally got a pen and signing my poster. I asked him for a picture and he got up, put his arm around my waist, put his check next to mine and we waited while Inara figured out how to turn on my camera. I was so nervous because Jesse kept rubbing his cheek against mine. Inara took the picture and I told Jesse how the last episode of AMC he was on was so good. I Went back into the crowd to take more pictures but at that point I was really hyper and I knew I had to do something to make this especially unforgettable. I went over to the railing and yelled out Jesse's name...After a few moments he looked at me and said "Yea" So I asked, "Can I get your coke bottle", But he gave me this really cute look because he was still drinking it SO I Said, "Oh, it's alright", I was just about to leave when he yelled "Want this?" And he grabbed a water bottle that still had some water in it, I asked him if it was his and he nodded and threw it to me. I was so happy, I quickly put my mouth on it as Inara started laughing hysterically. I spotted Claudia and asked to get a picture with her and she agreed. After, I asked her if she could get the bottle that Jesse gave me signed so she did! Inara & I stood around a few more minutes before my brother came to pick us up and while we were waiting, these two girls that were standing next to me called the security guard and said "Can you please call Chris for us, it's Stephanie and Mya from his school, were friends." I got so jealous! But Its alright because this coming year I'm auditioning for PPAS and hopefully I'll get it (I love drama, I love acting) The good thing is that my friend, Deena, is going to PPAS this year, So she better hook me up with Chris! Hehe. That was definitely THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! Those guys are so down to earth, I love it!



Here's Christy and Misty Frederick's (twins lol)encounter in nashville on september 29th:

My sister happened to win backstage passes to the wam bam river jam which was dreamstreet,mechelle branch,lfo, uncle kracker,smach mouth and some other people they told us we got to pick who we wanted to meet we decided that we were going to pick dreamstreet b/c we didnt like any one else we went and bought there cd and it was good but we didnt really know them then i got a call friday night saying we cant pick who we meet but luckily we got dreamstreet.It was the day so wee get there and we have to meet them at 5:15 so we go and there only like 8 people who get to meet them .We wernt like going crazy b/c we didnt know them so were satnding there then they came in and they stood together and you had to walk up indrviduly and you got to shake there hands get pics and autographs .We were last in line and we walked up we had matching jackets on with frily things and chris started playing with ourjakets and the othere guys did to i went to tell chris my name and he went to tell me his name and at the same time we both said chris is was so funny and he was like laughing.He asked my sis if we were sisters and she said yea were twins and he like awsome and he told all the guys then we went to shake gregs hand and he said theres nothing better than a pair of hot twins i couldnt believe it then jesse hit him and was like you did not say that in front of him it was funny and then they all told us to yell for them but we said we were in the grass and they said you still ahve to we'll look for you.We were taking the pic with them and the camera messed up so i went to help the lady and my sis was standing there and chrris was playing with her hair it was so funny.So they mad us leave and so we went out and watched them perform abd they were awsome they were really good so then we decided to leave maybe we could go find there hotel or something.Wewent outside and we were walking around and you can see backsatge and they were playing basketball so we watch for a while then my sis went to take her bf home and me and my friend stayed we were walikng and we noticed they were backstage any more i was so mad so we keep walking and they were sitting outside waiting for there taxi so i went up to talk to them greg came and gave me a high five and said its the dread twins it was funny then chris goes hey where did yall come from and we just talked to them for like 10 min and i asked greg how old he thought i looked and he said 16 and i was like i'm 19 he was like thats awsome then jesse walked up and said you 19 are you in college and i was tlking about that then matt came up and i said i yelled for them and they were like thanks and matt keep asking me if they were good and if i lkiked the show and just keep going on then the taxi came and then greg told me what hotel they were at and what floor so i told him i was going and then they left so we went to there hotel but we went to the wrong one i didnt know there was 2 sherton hotel's in nash so buy time we got to the right one it was 12:00 so now i just got to go see them again so i can tell them why i didnt come



Here's Courtney's encounter:

Ok, so I after their awesome concert...(they sang EVERY song except for Matter of time!!) I rushed over to the line where Dream Street would be signing autographs. A little line had already formed and I was around the middle of it. (not in the front, not in the back! haha) So I waited, and talked to some other DS fans...since I had come by myself w/ my mom cuz none of my friendz are really into Dream Street!! So I finally got up to about 2 more minutes of waiting and I couldn't help but stare at Jesse & all of them haha!! (I hope they didn't notice me staring!?!?) lol but yeah, I got all my thingz ready to give to them (notes and bracelets w/ each of their names on them!!) Then, in a matter of NO TIME, it was my turn. I was kinda nervous, but I kept my cool. I'm not like one of those pshyco fans that faintz and screams in their ears...(wouldn't you be a bit scared?!? I WOULD!!) But anywayz, I stepped up to Chris who was first and I gave him the bracelet and note (which in all no



Here's Lauren's Encounter:

On August 6, 2001 my friend Ashley and I (lauren) decided that we were going to go to a mall a little farther away from our houses, just because we hadn't been there in a while. We were walking around and we passed by a store called Record Town. There was a sign outside the store that said "Today Dream Street will be doing a signing here from 5-7" after we read dat sign we both said, " Dream Street?! isn't dat the HOTT boyband we saw on the Jounior Miss Pagent?!" it was like 1 o'clock and no one was around so we decided we were gonna go back to the store later.

Well at around 2:00 people started showing up and they were gurls of all ages. We asked a couple of gurls who they were and they started in the life story off all the guys. When we saw the pics dat the gurls had, my eye was automatically hooked on Chris, and my friend ashley's eye was automatically hooked on Greg, so after we saw the pics of the guys we fell in LOVE.

After we fell in love, we called her mom and asked her to go buy cd's for us so she said ok. By the time she got the cd's for us it was about 2:30 and there was a pretty long line outside the record store. Soo we ran as fast as possible to the line where we stood for 3 more hours!!! BOY was it worth it!!!!

We were at the front of the line when Louie asked us to sing into microphone attached to a camera and sing "it happens everytime" from the top. So there was about 10 of us gurls and we sang the song. Louie then informed us dat we were gonna be on the Disney Channel later dat nite so we shuld keep an eye out!!! it was realli kewl.

Ok so now i was at the front with my friend ashley standing rite behind me, followed by her mom and her lil sis. I stepped up to the table and said "hey matt!" he said "hey how r u" and i said "greaTTTTT!!!" then greg was next and my friend started like shacking it was realli funny. So we both asked greg " so how do u like LA?" and he said " I love it!!!! We all love the California gurls the best!!!!" that was sooo cute!!!! Then we both chatted with greg and moved on to Jesse. Jesse was quiet and all we said to him was "hey!" he said nottin back :( it sucked!!!!! next was Frankie with the georigous smile who was realli sweet, i chatted with him for a minute while my friend was fixated on greg. OMG!!! next was my fav CHRIS!!!!!! i had bought Chris a fake rose at the store and attahced a lil note to it. I gave my rose and note to Chris who immidiatly jumped up and gave me a giant hug and kiss on the cheek!!! (that was the best kiss i have ever gotten from a guy!!!



Here's Christina "Raposo's" encounter:

I became a fan on July 28th. My friend had told me she was going to a mall to see a group called dream street. I had heard of them before and I had heard It Happens Every Time and I thought that they were okay... I didnt really know their names or anything. And so I begged my dad to take me there cause my friend had given me all the info and the mall was only a half hour away! And i begged and begged and begged.. to tell ya the truth I only went cause I wanted to meet sum1 famous! haha!! And he FINALLY said yes! So we were a little late gettin there cause we had to wait for my mom to come home to come wit us. When we FINALLY went there, my friend didnt know that we did end up coming! So, it was sooo weird that we saw that she was RIGHT in front of us in line! My mom held the line for us while me and my dad went in the store (FYE) to wait and see them when they came in. We pretended that we were buying a cd because they would've kicked us out! haha! and so it worked! lol!



Here's Han's encounter at the King of Prussia Mall: July 28, 2001:

I met DS at the king of prussia mall on july 28, 2001. ok.. so we get there and we're like #106 in line.. and then the line groes to like 500!! so we see them walk in below us and we're SCREAMIN!! so we all look at the elevator thinkin they're gonna come up there and they dont.. so we finally get into the store where they are... and me n my friend are screamin "CHRIS WE LOVE YOU!!!" so we finally get up to them and they said we couldnt get a hug! the FRICKEN SECURITY!! so i get up to Chris and of course i say "can i have a hug?" but before he could answer.. the security guard says no!! So i'm like ok.. and Chris looks at me.. and he's like "aww.. i'm sorry! i would if they'd let me!!" and i was like smiling the whole time.. and then he asked me my name.. and i forgot it!! so Greg starts laughin at me!! PLUS.. i couldn't breathe!! so greg's laughin his head off n i'm tryin to remember my name.. so finally i say Hannah.. and he's like "hey hannah sup" and i juss sigh.. then the securtity guard literally picked me up and moved me... so thats it. but i did get a really good pic of all of them up close and they signed my cd case and i won a shirt



Here's Stephanie's Encounter on August 6, 2001:

I knew them from their GREAT commercial, and one day I was in Record Town and I noticed a flyer saying MEET DREAM STREET. I called my friend Lianne to see if she wanted to go for fun to meet some hot guys(DS). She said sure. So, we got there at about 3 or so, and they were comin out at about 4. There was already a line, but we would wait. We didn't know much about them...yet! My dad was nice enough to buy a camera for us. So, after waiting, my mom held our spot in line so my friend and I could see when they came in. Everyone was screaming and they weren't even out yet, and we were like" we're not gonna scream" but then, in they came, i first saw GrEg, and my friend and I lost it... We screamed our hearts out! THEY WERE SO CUTE! The best part was when we were next in line, and I pcked around the corner, and there was GrEg looking staright at me! I had to wave! And he waved back and waved like a come here wave! So I went and got my poster signed first from MaTt, then came my fave GrEg, who was so sweet and asked me my name and age! Ah! I took a picture with him with his arm around me! Ah! Then was JeSsE and FrAnKie. They were cool, of course. Then last was ChRiS. I noticed him and FrAnKiE trying to read my tank top, which said MiAmI. I took a pic with ChRiS with his arm around me too! He even kissed my friend on the cheek! Then, we waited after just to look at thme, and my mom said we had to go, so I waved and GrEg waved back! He was the first and last to wave at me! That was one of the best days of my life! DrEaM StreEt ForEver!!!!!!!!

Here's my encounter with my favorite boys in the whole world at Winter Jam @ Nassau Collesium on December 2, 2001:
Before we even left there was a whole thing with my sister cuz she really, really, really wanted to come and we had three tickets. My Dad took it cuz we couldn't watch her, we'd be to busy freaking out. lol. So we picked up my friend and talked about how excited we were all the way there (my dad was going crazy lol). We finally got there and found our way in. We were really upset cuz we didn't think we'd be able to bring cameras or posters so we didn't (after spending all day making a poster only to hear we probly wouldn't be able to bring it). We had pretty good seats though. It wuz fun talking 2 other fanz b4 hand. They were all really nice. Me and my friend also met Berny and Kevin (the songwriters). All the acts were awesome! LFO was my fave act after DS lol. During LFO's performance, they took a girl on stage. She looked familiar and when I looked at the screen I realized it was my friend! I wuz like completely freaking out lol. We looked all over for them (her and my other friend). They had worse seats then us so I didn't get how she could've gotten on stage. We finally found her and they went backstage (w/o me might I add LoLZ). But she told me all about it after so it wuz awsum lol. My friend and I kept leaving and the ppl on the aisle were getting so pissed lmao. Then we went into the lobby area cuz we saw lots of ppl going out dere (DS fans). There was a whole bunch of ppl outside some door and they all wanted 2 meet DS (this was after they performed and it wuz when I realized I had forgotten my fan club pass =() A bunch of girls came up to me and asked me if I was the girl from the DS movie that just came out. I said no 9cuz i'm not lol) and then we realized that we had met at the Balloon Festival (I knew she looked familiar! lol). It wuz cool, but then I went upstairs for a few minutes and when I came back she was gone b4 I could get her screen name. So if you're her and ur reading this, email me! LoL! But b4 I even went upstairs, I met up with a few ppl from my old school. We all heard a big ruckus from the escalator and we looked over and someone from over dere yells, "We got Matt's brother here!!!!!" everyone freaked and I mean there was a lot of ppl! I felt so bad for him he looked terrified! evryone started to swarm near him. One girl from my old school actually got Matt's cell number from one of the ppl david (matt's bro) was with. I didn't get to meet DS, but all in all it wuz a lot of fun. I met Berny ad Kevin, that guy that does the sound stuff (sorry I can't member what his name is, but he's in the mag.), David Ballinger (well not personally, but I saw him lmao) and ppl I'd met at other ds events. It wuz gr8! I hope DS comes back here soon!!!

In the morning at about 9:00am(11.11.01):
I woke up and got ready for a big day ahead of me. My mom drove me to my friend Nicoles house.We got into her sisters car and drove to a near by train station in Bridgeport(CT). My friend Nicole,her mom,her sister and I arrived at the train station and aboarded the train. It was about an hour ride to our destination: a Broadway Kids concert featuring Chris and Greg in Manhatten,NY. Went we got off the train we had to woke about a block over to where the concert was going to be held. We got there and we were like the 15th ppl in line. After waiting anxiously they finally opened the doors and ppl stormed in. We got our tickets and got great seats in the 7th row! The theater was reeeaaaaalllllyyyy small and only held about 100 ppl, so we could see perfectly. The Broadway Kids Benefit was held to raise money for the September 11th attacks so they and all the girls screamed "We love you Chris!" At that time I was totally in love with Chris(Jesse's my fav now ha) and I was like freaking out! lol! Then they sang 8 other songs after that. The whole time that Chris was singing me and my friend were singing along! I didn't know the fast part of the song then but my friend did and she was singing it and I swear Chris looked right at her! lol and started laughing a little! The concert was great! My 2 fav. things in one: Broadway music and ds! The best part was still to come! Since we went to the last show of the day Chris and Greg came out the back of the theater! My friend and I pushed are way to the front to see them! Chris and Greg both remembered Nicole because she has been to sooooo many concerts before and even backstage! We took pictures with them and got their autographs! All and all it was the best day ever! We've had other ds encounters since and we hope to have many many more!

Hey people! What's up? It's Jamie. You can read my Fan Fic called "The Summer of Sugar Rush." Anyways, I attended Winter Jam. First up was Willa Ford. One word. HORRIBLE! I'm sorry but this girl can't sing live for her life! LFO rocked! They warmed up the crowd with their hit singles "Life is Good" and the lovable "Summer Girls." City High was OK but one of the members was in the hospital from a sprained ankle so they had to use his brother. Blu Cantrel has a great voice but her songs suck. The sickly annoying yet catchy "Hit em up style" was her first and ONLY single. Kristy Jackson brought the whole audience to tears with her "Little did she know she'd kissed a hero." They had some of the NYFD on stage and the little girl who's father was a piolot on one of the plains that crashed into one of the trade towers on the rememberable day of September 11th. Mandy Moore put on an acceptionably good performance with her new singles "Crush", "In my Pocket", and from her new movie ~A walk to remember~ her song "Cry." Then, Jessica Simpson rocked the stage with her awesome songs "A little bit" and "Irresistable." Then she sang "I wanna love you forever" and she sounded so much better then she did on her first album because she has improved her voice since then. Aaron Carter was the last act but I didn't watch it because me, my cousin, and friend don't like him because he would be no where without his brother. (no offence to any Aaron fans. It's just an opinion.) But the crowd went REALLY wild when 5 hot teenage boys from my home state New York took the stage. You guessed it. Dream Street. They opened with "Let's get Funky Tonight" and really got close with the audience. They closed their performance with there number 1 single "It Happens Every Time." They put on one hell of a show with the AWESOME songs "I Say Yeah", "Sugar Rush", "Hooked on You", and the sweet love song "This Time." After their performance, Greg came back out and sang "Happy Birthday" to BLI's Wendy Cranston. All in all, Winter Jam was the GREATEST concert of 2001.

February 2,2002: I woke up at about 7am because I was sooo excited that I couldnt sleep. We were going to leave @ 10:45am for the signing 45 minutes away in Meriden,CT...so we coudl get there early. I got ready and made sure I looked perfect for when I saw them. I then put my posters,cards(huge card for Frankie n one for Jesse),my presents for Jesse,cameras,cd player, n like everything for the long day ahead of me. We listened to the cd on the way there and we were singing so loud my mom was gettng a migrane and told us to be quiet lol. We got lost on the way there cause the stupid FYE guy gave us the wrong directions. We finally arrived at a little after 11:30am. The line wasn't even that long that and we found our friends in the front of the line and waited with them. I was so hyper and I'm usually not like that. I wasn't even my self,I was like a totally different person. I guess because I was so excited! lol. I was getting so restless waiting for them to arrive at 3pm. Claudia,Berny, and Kevin were there and I got their autographs and talked with them for a little. Then the guys FINALLY arrived! The line was sooooo long at this point so I guess we were lucky to have been in the front! Jesse,Frankie,Matt,and Greg walked up, but where was Chris? Everyone was so upset and I almost started to cry. A few minutes later we heard screaming in the back of the line,Chris had arrived! He tried his hardest to get through without fans jumping all over him lol. I was soooo happy he was there,because I was afraid I woudlnt ahve been able to see him! The people at FYE annouced some rules that we had to follow:1. they could only sign one item per person. 2. u coudlnt take pictures w/ them. etc...it was ridiculous! Then they started letting small groups of people up and the line was inching closer and closer towards us! We finally got up there in first my friend went to Greg and since she has met him so many times he remembered her. She was like "Greg can I take a picture with you?" and Greg goes " Not until I get a hug and a kiss first!" (OMG I predicted he would say that cause last time he said wheres my hug. I was like, "Nicole, this time he'll say wheres my hug AND kiss lol). She gave him this huge card and roses and Matt looked like he was about to laugh(she always gives Greg stuff n something happened last concert but I don't feel liek explaining lol). Then I went next to Greg and ya know we just had casual conversation and I took a picture with him(even though we weren't supposed to). Then I went up to Matt(he looked soooo HOT) he just signed my picture and didn't really talk much...I took a picture with him too! Then Frankie was next and Nicole and I gave him this huge birthday(belated) card that we made for him. He was like "Thanks!(and his eyes widen cause it was so big" Then he goes, "How do you open it?" I started laughing and showed him,it was funny lol. I forgot to take a picture with Frankie cause Jesse was next and I was soooooooo excited lol(my mom got close up pictures of all of the guys though). I got up to Jesse and I just said hi and he signed my picture. Then I gave him this huge Valentines day card that I made and a shirt from American Eagle. He was like, "Wow thanks!" and he was about to give me a hug, but I reached in my bag to get the big hersey kiss and rose that I had for him. I put that up on the table too and he was like, "OMG thank you so much!" lol and he gavea me a big hug. Then I took a picture with him. Next was Chris and god did he look HOT lol. My little sister(shes 6) gave hima rose and he was like,"is that for me?" and she said "yeh" and he took it. Then he kissed her on the hand(damn I wanna kiss from Chris lol). Then I went up to Chris and he was like "Hey" and I was like "Hi" lol and then he just asked me how I was and everything. Then he signed my picture and he was like "see ya later!(with those eyes he makes,ya know what I'm talking bout lol)" I just wanted to melt lol ha! So I go "Yeh I'm going to the concert" and then we said goodbye(I also took a picture with Chris...well sorta the security gaurd woudln't let him so he told me to like lean on the table and we took one). Oh yeh when I was going from Matt to Frankie I liked tripped I don't think Matt saw though lol. I was laughing,I didn't even care(usually I care about things like that lol). I KNOW THIS ENCOUNTER IS LONG BUT IM FAR FROM DONE SO KEEP READING! LMAO! Then my friends and I were riding on the esculators and elevators(it was glass so we could see them and they could see us-it was right behind them). I kept going up and down and then I finally got Jesses attention and he smiled(he like never smiles lol) and Frankie waved at me haha. And then when I was on the esculator Chris waved at me lol. I took soooooo many pictures of the guys signing and stuff. We went ont eh side where Greg was and we were talking to him. He as making faces at us lol. I took a picture forhim sticking his tounge out and my friend Nicole and I took like a 100 pictures of his ass lmao (I got Jesses too). We were just walking around talkign to other fans and taking pictures and pictures of them as they were signing. We kept screaming things at Chris like"Omg Chris your hair!" lol and he kept looking at us and smiling. Then we were all singing "I've been everywhere","Let's Get Funky Tonight" and "I Say Yeah". It was so funny he just kept looking and laughing and smiling at us. Then I went to the side where Chris was and we cut in front lol and we were like Chris will you sign our hands. He coudln't reach so he just scribbled on our hands. We were like" What the heck(but we were laughing so he knew we were kidding)!" He was like "Sorry I can't reach. I have to pay attention to the other girls now." I was like "Oh we understand" Then when the signing was almost over the security gaurd moved for a second and Jesse and Chris possed for a picture. They got so many gifts! geez lol! Before they left they signed the posters that were hanging up and I tried to get one, but the girl in front of me took the last 2! Jesse dropped a rose that a fan had given him, but he already left so I took it lol. It was a fake one(I dunno he would give them a fake rose, but ok) so now its like something to remember the concert by. Then we went outside when they were leaving and we chased their tour bus almost out of the parking lot. It was so funny! I never ran so fast before...I like beat Nicole there! haha! Then when they were going on the road Chris and Greg stuck their heads out and everyone was screaming. It looked Chris gave the finger to a girl way in front near their tour bus! LMAO! I dont' think so,even if he did he was kidding! Then we went inside the mall once we were sure they were gone and ate dinner before the concert that night. We arrived at the concert, in Wallingford,CT @ around 7:00p, right when Lindsay Pagano came on stage. She was really good! She has an amazing voice and I think I'm gonna buy her CD after hearing her songs! Then Dream Street came on!! They sang "I Say Yeah","It Happens Everytime","Hooked On You","Sugar Rush","They Don't Understand","Feel The Rain(the live version-my favortie)", and their new song from their movie("The Biggest Fan"-coming out in April) "With All My Heart"! Greg told us at the signing there was going to be a surprise-that was it! They looked so HOT! They were so energetic and the performance was great! Then Aaron Carter came on adn everyone was screaming! He sung a couple of songs and then we went out into the lobby to try to get backstage. Berny and Kevin said DS had left. We were bummed and we didn't see their tour bus outside anymore. We then saw Brian(their producer) and he told how we could see Chris because he was still there. I could have met Aaron Carter too, but I didn't go where he was coming out! It was soo much fun! We waited outside for like 3hrs in the cold and this guy who drives their tour bus was like, "you still here?" and we were like "yeh we are waiting for Chris." Then he gave us flowers that the guys had gotten from fans(they get soooo many). He then todl us exactly where to go to see Chris. Then Chris came out at like 11pm and he just said hi and stuff, but then he had to go. Then we drove home and I am still so tired because I couldn't sleep last night. That was the best ever! So much happen I don't even think I wrote it all lol! I'm soo excited I'm going to see them 2morrow(2.4.02) in Providence,RI! And now I know how to see them! Maybe I'll get to ahng out with them for a little because these girls who were wiatign with us already knew about this. They have done it before and got to ahng out with Chris! So maybe,just maybe! Oh and one more thing! DS fans in Connecticut are soooo nice...not that other fans arent lol! but when I went to Providence,RI for a concert they were so mean and pushy lol. I took about 70 pictures lol! Hope you enjoyed my encounter!

Here's another encounter on Feb 23, 2002:

Saturday morning at 6:30 my friend Ashley and I got up tookshowers and put on our outfits to meet ds! At 8 we were ready to go and my mom got all our posters collages andmuch more in da car for a 1:30 drive to Anaheim, cali. by the time we got to da mall where ds wasgonna be doin a meet and greet it was 9:30 we walked through the mall and wereapproached by 5 moms they asked us if we were looking for ds and we said yea sothey told us how to get there. by thetime we reached the line there were about 200 gurls in line before us. my friend Ashley and I got in line and sawmy friend Aubrey. we talked for about 1 hour and finally decided to ask thelady at the info desk if they had a Spencer’s so we culd buy posters cuz fyedidn’t have any. on our way to da deskthere were 5 security guards standing infront of a hallway, me, Ashley, andAubrey decided to ask the security guard if ds was gonna come out from thereand they said no, but we were like wuteva I bet they r. so we hurried upstairs to a store calleddapy which is owned by Spencer’s but they said they didn’t have any ds postersso we juss came back downstairs. I wassooo sure dat ds was gonna come out of the hallway so I convinced Ashley andAubrey to stay and wait for 5 minutes. so we waited for like 2 and I decided I was gonna look down the hallwayI saw ds at the end of the hallway!! I screamed sooooo loud that it echoed!! Iwas like went through my purse so fast, pulled out my camera and turned it onby the time ds was in front of us. Aubrey, Ashley and I were like omg!! my fav is chris but greg was likestandin rite infront of me so I had to say hi! and he said hey wuts up back!! Iwas like omg!!! well ds was like in da doors of fye in a flash and me, Aubreyand Ashley went back outside to the line and waited for another 1 hour to seeds. Finally it was time to meet dsagain!!! I we were so excited!! I talked to Greg he was awesome and had lots ofpersonality like usual. Jesse was next!I wasn’t sure if I was gonna talk to him cuz da last time I met ds he wasreally rude! so I was like wuteva I will juss say hi! I ended up talking to himfor like 5 minutes! he was kewl! next was Frankie he was nice but really shy,he was even shyer then Matt I was shocked!! cuz last time I met ds I didn’treally say nething to Frankie and he was actually awesome! then it was Matt I didn’t say nething atfirst but they I ended up sayin hi and stuff and he was really nice. I live on Ballinger Street and I had taken apic of my street to show a ds fan on AOLand I juss happened to find it in my purse so I juss had to showMatt. I was like Matt can u sign a picof my street and he was like wut? and I was like yea I live on Ballinger streetand he was like no way! I was like yea way!! He culdn’t believe that there was a street called Ballinger street so helike elbowed Frankie and was like damn!! look at dis Jesse!!! dis gurl lives onBallinger street!! Jesse was like holy!! wow! OMG!! it was funni cuz Matt waslike freakin out!! then he yelled at Greg and was like look at dis pic!! disgurl lives on Ballinger Street!! Greg then yells to Chris who I am talking toand says dis chick lives on Ballinger Street!! they were goin nuts it wasfunni! cuz like all the fans they were talking to were ignored for a sec cuzthey all wanted to look at my street pic! then Matt signed my pic and set itdown on the table. Next and finally wasChris I had roses and a box with a necklace in it for him and I was like dis isfor u. he was like omg r u serious I said yep and he said thanx soo much! I waslike ur welcome, he gave me a hug and then a kiss!! I almost fainted! my momwas standin there and asked Chris for a pic he said ok awesome! so I took a picwith Chris and he kissed me again on my other cheek! dat was like totally kewl!I was even on both sides a kiss for each cheek!! neways so he was awesome wetalked for like 10 minutes then the security guard told me and Chris dat I hadto move cuz there were lotz for fans! so I finally moved and Chris said byebabe and I said bye. I then realizedwhen I was walkin away dat I had left my pic on da table so I told the securityguard and he said to bad!! I got really mad so I pushed him out of the way realizingdat he wasn’t gonna let me get da pic and then Chris like pointed and startedlaffin! he was like omg ur strong I was like thanx! he was like r u gonna go toda concert tonite? I was like yea and I have a poster dats an orange fireballdat says dream street sets my world on fire! he was like awesome ill look for u! I was like ok! he said bye and itwas kewl. Later dat nite at 4 (daconcert was really earlie) lindsay pagano perfomed and then ds! they wereawesome!! juss like Chris’s shirt it said awesome lol! neways they performed Isay yeah, with all my heart, dream on, hooked on you, sugar rush and ihet!durin IHET me and my friend Ashley stood up with our posters and were wavingthem! It was soo kewl cuz Chris pointed to us and blew a kiss!! we almost died! her fav is Greg so she was juss diyin! shecouldn’t believe how their voices have changed and she was like amazed!! neways o yea! one more thing! the guys weretakin turns to announce a song and then like say something so when Matt came upon stage (dis is for all u cali gurls!) he said “there is nottin like you caligurls, u guys r da hottest!! everytime we come to dis state we always have ablast!! dis is our fav state!!” I almost died! then Chris said how cali was dabest and so were da gurls and all da guys said “yep, its true cali is da bestand so r da gurls” It was really cute!! neways dats basically my encounter!!
