THIS IS THE PLACE TO FIND NOTATED MUSIC EXAMPLES.
You can view notation files located here in 3 ways.
FINALE VIEWER FILES
FINALE FILES
Once downloaded Finale files will always have a ".mus"suffex.
This file is for students who will double on electric bass. (Are you out there Taylor and Phillip ?) More will follow. All other students should feel free to give this technology a try!
Use Finale Viewer to view and play this file. With it you can change the playback speed, volume and print the music. If the original document was written for an instrument other than the one you play, you can choose a transposition for your own instrument.
For hints on how to do this and other things see the Finale Viewer Help Page, or click on the "?" in the Finale Viewer menu bar.
You can download these files to your computer where they can be opened with Finale NotePad 2003 or another notaion program in the Finale product line.
If your computer is like mine, your file will come down in text form and may look something like this. You may also get an error message that the file is too big to open. The solution is simple. Open your Finale NotePad program, select file/open and navigate to your downloaded file's name to open it. Save it as a Finale file when you are done. (remember, all finale music files end in ".mus".) Once you have downloaded and opened your file you can make transpositions for your instrument, but only by creating a new file for your instrument and copying the original file to it.
