STRIKE UP THE BAND SPRING FESTIVAL INFORMATION

On Thursday March 18, 2003, The Strike Up The Band Program will be holding it,s annual Band Festival for students in the band program. Students in 8 schools in your area will be combined to create mass Cadet and Festival Bands.

This is your son or daughterÕs opportunity to play in a large concert band, and is a mandatory requirement to pass the program curriculum. The concert will be held at:

Grace Church of Roseville
1310 West County Road B2
Roseville, MN
ALL STUDENTS MUST ARRIVE AT THE SCHOOL BY 6:15 PM. Students should go immediately to a table near the entrance so that they can get their name tag. Someone will be there to assist them as to where to place their cases, etc.

Students will need their instrument and concert book. Also Bring a folding music stand if you have one. Students can also borrow one from me at band on Thursday, but it is their responsibility to return it to band on the following week. Please make sure that studentÕs instruments and equipment have a name tag on them. If your student is a drummer, label each item. (bells, mallets, sticks, etc.)

Please do not purchase new clothes unless you care to, but we do like to see the concert bands dressed dressed up in their ÒSunday BestÓ.

All Students will be in a closed rehearsal at 6:15. Parents are not allowed in the preliminary rehearsals. Doors will open for the concert at 7:20 and the concert will begin at 7:30.

I am looking for parent volunteers to assist at the festival. Please let me know if you can help out. You can e-mail me by using the link at the bottom of this page.
