ok, for all you flute players out there here are some tips : 1. don't hold onto your flute to hard, it will give you problems with your hands. 2. don't grab the flute by the keys, this will mess them up. trust me i had to pay 90 dollars just to get like two keys fixed :-( 3. hold your flute up. if you don't it messes upo your back. 4. Don't practice too much, u should at least practice for 45 minutes a day, but don't over do it!!!! for a high school student 2 hours are about right. you should spend 15-20 minutes on warming up with low-notes and some scales. 5. before playing at a concert, WARM UP!!! Be in the band room or wherever early. 6. If you're going to play another instrument, you should either play piccolo or saxaphone, if you try another instrument you can ruin your embouchere, but if you don't want to play flute then you can play whatever you want. but the flute is the best ;-) 7. Don't eat or drink right before playing, the gunk gets in the keypads and under the lip plate. YUCK!!! 8.When learning a song it would help if you bought a cd with the song on there so you can know exactly how it sounds, but thats not always good to do, because you need to know how to learn most rythms and stuff by yourself if you ever want to sight read!!!! CKY, Incubus, Audio Adreniline, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Newsboys are soooooo kewl!!! If you play in band, (even if u don't suck) u should take private lessons they help you alot I'll ad more to this page, just tell me what. u can email me, my email is somewhere on this page! A dog whistle irritates only one species. 2D. people with dog whistle usually know how to play them. 3. What's the difference between a trumpet player and a sewer rat? 3B. some people actuslly like sewer rats. 4.What's the difference between a clarinet and a mouse? 4B. You can't hear a mouse squeak over a band. 5.What's the difference between a clarinet and an onion? 5B. nobody cries when you chop a clarinet into tiny little pieces. what do all great conductors have in common? They're all dead. Top ten reasons to play piccolo: 1.you always get the solo! 2. very small fits anywhere 3. very comfortable for small hands 4.you for sure get to play the famous 'stars and stripes forever' solo 5. You are never told you play to soft like the flute players! 6. it can actually be heard in marching band! 7.It's required by most college bands.
