Born to Live

I'm on a word binge so I know
I'll be throwing up phrases tomorrow.
She's on a health kick, sticking her tail out.
We wandered the same routes,
Cigarettes on our bikes, hear that horn.

Born to live without thinking at all why.
Maybe you were born to die, born to give
Forget and to heal. Sorry if I don't always feel
The same way you feel.

It's a dark, dark day down your way.
So close to black that you'll never come back.
That's a big, big brick in your hand.
The rebel, the man, sucker without a plan at all.

You intended to throw away
A facade that an odd face grins today.
I turn and I burn a new leaf in the pipe of life.

That's a big, big wave you surf, my friend,
Hanging ten on a mountain of water.
Tsunami, soon I will be plates that slip
Beneath you in the risky sea.

Born to live without thinking at all why.
Maybe you were born to die, born to hurt
Conceal and to hate. Sorry if I don't always feel
The same way you feel.

I'm on a word binge so I know
I'll be throwing up phrases tomorrow.
She's on a health kick, sticking her tail out.
Wandering the same routes,
Cigarettes on our bikes, hear that horn.

Born to live without thinking at all why.
Maybe you were born to die, born to give
Forget and to heal. Sorry if I don't always feel
The same way you feel.
