The CultureShock band was formed in 2001,during their 4th year of stay as highschool students in Colegio de San Juan de Letran,in Calamba,Laguna. These 6 members,namely Irene,Aileen,Izel,Jhamie,Rina and Rossel were formerly memebrs of their different respective highschool bands way back year 2000,at their 3rd year of highschool.
Irene(drummer),Aileen(vocalist),and Jhamie(rythym guitarist), originally came from one highschool band. Together with Andrienne(bassist) and Czarina(lead guitarist),they formally call themselves the Scuzzlebutt.,
On the other hand,Izel(vocalist) and Rina(lead guitarist) also came from another highschool band which was formerly known as the Jumping Bananas. They're other bandmates were Kare(bassist),Lauren(rythym guitarist),and Vanessa(drummer)..
While the others brought with them atleast 2 or 3 original bandmates into CultureShock,Rossel(vocalist) didn't mind bringing just herself for the completion of the newly formed band. Like the rest,she also came from another highschool band called the Ablazed,who consisted of Topet(keyboardist/lead guitarist),Ariana(rythym guitarist),Jonica(drummer) and Berma(co-vocalist).
Due to seme personal reasons,Irene,Aileen,Izel,Rina and Rossel had finally decided to form their very own band which they have named after their unforgettable band-moment at a battle of the bands school competition held at Don Bosco Canlubang,Laguna. Unfortunately,before CultureShock was formed,Scuzzlebutt already decided to formally go on their own ways.And later that year,Jumping Bananas also officially disbanded.As for the Ablazed,mmm... i dunno.. did they disband already? hehe..
