History
Formed early in 2003, Colorblind is a blend of hard rock of the old, new, and next school. The members have seen many line-up changes with several players coming and going on a pretty regular basis. Starting with the band Undesideit in 2002, Colorblind members Justin Gallahan and Tony Gallahan hooked up with current drummer Donald Cavey and recently departed Greg Conrad to play at the Sherando High School talent show. With Tony lacking in vocal abilities at the time Donald's friends Justin and Zakk Marcum came calling. With Zakk's deep and abrasive voice at the helm Undesideit ripped through a hyper-actively paced rendition of "Enter Sandman." But after the show the boys faded away.
In the summer of 2002 Tony and Justin G. returned to Donald's basement for some heavy metal jamming with Donald, Matt Sargent on Vocals, and accredited bass player and great friend Justin Marcum joining the fold. But the jams fell to just good times and Justin and Tony disappeared yet again.
At the beginning of the 2002-2003 school year Tony and Justin G. joined forces with punk/jazz drummer Jeff Gasser to form the infrastructure that would become Colorblind. At the same time Donald and Justin M. rejoined Greg and Sarge for some moonlight jamming to try and prepare for the 2003 talent show.
With a chance phone call in Feb. Tony found out Donald wanted him and Justin G. to come back and play guitar. The two returned once again and prepared for warfare. And now despite numerous ins and outs the line-up is set and the band is ready for battle.
Come and witness the magic of this rock tour-de-force as often as they play. Because i can guarantee you'll be satisfied.
