PROLOGUE
Brian stopped and checked. Somehow, somewhere, something was definitely wrong but he simply could not seem to put his finger on what it was. The flashes of lightning caught his attention as he walked along the dark corridor. That could be one of the culprits for the blackout, cursed Brian as he felt a chill running down his spine.
'B… Brian… I think we better go now… this place gives me the creep man… let's go!' Stammered Howie as he pulled Brian's sleeves. His breath was getting heavier as Brian continued to walk through the dark corridor.
Then Brian stopped.
'I can't-''
'What do you mean you can't?' Asked Howie in disbelief.
'I have to find Lisa alright-''
'But I don't think that she's around here Brian and I didn't see any lights since just now… I mean she could be somewhere else but definitely not here!' Howie shone his lights around as Brian suddenly stopped.
'Did you see that?' Whispered Brian as he pointed to the window. Howie could sense that something was wrong somewhere and decided not to play along with Brian's wild imagination.
'Oh come on Brian… this is no time for jokes! We've got to get out of this damn place as soon as possible and that would be now!' This time Howie's voice was more demanding as he kept pulling Brian's sleeves without looking at him. Perhaps he was too nervous to pay any attention to his friend except to convince him to get out of that haunted mansion.
'I told you I can't! Why don't you go-''
'What? Me? Alone?'
'Of course! I have to find my sister first and then I'll leave this place-''
'But Brian we promise to stick together, Kevin said that we shouldn't get separated-''
'Then how did my sister go missing when she's suppose to be with you guys!' Rebuked Brian as he pulled Howie's collars and pushed him to the wall. Howie was speechless and too stunned to say anything to defend himself.
'We… we didn't know that this could happen-''
'Yeah right! All this wouldn't have happen if its not for your stupid game! Now I need to find my sister by hook or by crook… you go to Kev and Nathan, tell them that I am not leaving without my sister… now go!' said Brian as he pushed Howie away. As being instructed, Howie walked back to the stairs without protesting.
He knew Brian. And in fact he knew Brian too well. Brian, being a loving brother would do anything for his sister's sake even if it means risking his own safety.
That night was another occasion where Brian showed his superb brotherhood as he went to look for his sister after knowing from Kevin that she was no longer with them when they were inspecting one of the rooms from the second storey. Brian cursed himself for suggesting that his sister should follow Kevin and Nathan instead of him.
Brian turned back and saw Howie still standing by the stairs, refusing to go down on his own. He shone his lights right at Howie's face, gave him his cold stare which Howie interpreted as 'Do as I say or else!' and knew that his friend meant business. He gave one final sigh of resignation and started walking down the stairs.
Brian was half way through the dark corridor when he was aghast by the thick bushes bulging out of shapes, forming some kind of ferocious figures outside the gate. The rattling of leaves on the metal frame of the window could be heard vividly and it started to shake his guts for pursuing his journey down to the end of the corridor. Even the wide spread of branches gave him a somewhat monstrous looked alike images. The way it swayed the leaves and the way it responded to the wind gave him the impression that it was trying to reach for him, ripping his body apart and slowly pulling out his intestines one by one.
For once how he wished that he had not asked Howie to leave him alone knowing that he would have a hard time to survive the whole journey especially in the dark.
Then Brian heard soft tapping on the window. His heartbeat began to hammer continuously and his imagination went berserk.
Thuud… Thuud… Thudd…' Again he heard the soft tapping and this time the sound was louder as though as it was coming from somewhere in front of him. Brian shone his lights to the window and saw bunch of leaves knocking on the window.
'Great Brian! You're scaring yourself because of some damn leaves! And branches! What could they do to you?' Chuckled Brian as he laughed upon his own wild imaginations. The roar of thunders was loud and deafening and for a second he felt that the whole mansion was shaking. It has been going on like that for hours but still there was no hint of rain approaching. The others shuddered their shoulders whenever Brian told them about the bad weather assuming that it was just a storm building up. Brian rubbed his chest trying hard not to panic and to stay calm.
Brian continued to walk further down though deep inside his heart, he was protesting to run back to his friends or maybe calling out for them won't be such a bad idea he thought. But the will to find his sister kept him going. His mind was not concentrating on his steps and his eyes were lurking around inspecting for any strange figures or even shadows when his leg stumbled onto an unknown object that was in his way. He tripped and his flashlight went flying out of his hand.
The icy fear he hoped was gone gripped his heart again. As he struggled to regain his balance, he felt something hanging on to his legs. It was sharp and each time when he tired to pull back, he could hear scary creaking noise like bones cracking. Bones? The thoughts of bones froze his heart. It could be a skeleton's hands hanging to his legs for help perhaps. Or it could be bones from some other unidentified creatures which the world had never even heard of.
'Aaaahhhhhhh! Help me! Guys help me! Help me!' Shouted Brian as he continued to struggle. No matter how hard he tried to break free from the grip on his legs, it would grab him even harder causing great difficulties for him to move.
Suddenly he felt a sharp object poking deep into his left thigh. The pain was a torment and all the unshed tears began to flow down his cheeks. He screamed at the top of his lungs for help until he could even hear his own voice deafening his eardrums. Maybe his screaming was drowned by the thunders that his friends couldn't hear him or maybe they too, were in trouble. Oh come on Brian, no time for the guessing game! Run, you've got to run man! Run for your life!
The stench of blood stung his nostrils, nauseating him in the process.
* * *
'Did you hear that?' Asked Kevin as he shone the lights to the stairs. Howie was trembling as he stood right next to Nathan.
'What?' Nathan exchanged glances with Howie as he walked a step forward and stood next to Kevin.
'I heard a voice-''
'It could just be your imagination Kev! I heard nothing!' Snapped Howie from behind as he forced himself to swallow his saliva down his sultry throat. All the fears and shouting for Lisa must have dried his throat up.
'No! I heard it alright and I heard it well! I heard someone is shouting for help… we have to go and check it out-''
'No way! There is no way that I am going back there again! No way!' Protested Howie as he shook his head vigorously.
'But Howie it could be Brian shouting for help! Who knows if he needs our help! We can't leave him just like that! We need to go back there and help him!' Said Nathan as he looked at Howie who was obviously still shaking.
'Fine if you don't want to go… I'll go and check it out myself-''
'But Kev, you can't go alone… we have to stick together especially now that Lisa is missing… we can't afford to lose anybody now…' Continued Nathan as he pulled Kevin's arm sharply.
'Look! I can't just sit and wait for them! We have to do something alright and for a start I am going back there and help my cousin… two of you wait here just in case Lisa is coming back here while I go and help Brian… if Lisa is here then blow this whistle out so that we know you've got Lisa and we'll leave straight away after that…' Kevin passed to Nathan his whistle.
'Kev wait!' Called Howie.
'What?'
'I'm sorry… I shouldn't have let go of her hands…' Said Howie in a remorseful manner. He regretted for letting go of Lisa's hands even though he knew how much Lisa loves to venture things out on her own. He should have listened to Brian and that to keep his eyes on Lisa for twenty-four seven if not she might just went missing especially in the situation like that, anything could happen.
'When she's back here then the three of you leave first-''
'But Kev-''
'There's no time for buts now Nathan… when she's back here, make sure that you bring her out and blow the whistle… from there then both Brian and I will leave this place…' Both Nathan and Howie nodded their heads obediently as they watched Kevin made his way to the stairs. They were unsure if that was the right decision to make but that could be the best solution to get everybody out of that mansion.
Kevin was already halfway up the stairs and they could see him carefully taking the steps as he shone his lights in the darkness. Soon he too lost in the dark. Both Nathan and Howie sat on the maroon sofa with the same question lingering in their thoughts on whether they could leave the mansion alive.

Brian reached for the window frame and pulled himself out. His left thigh was bleeding profusely but he had no choice except to run for his life. The tenseness in the air matched that inside him as he collectively held on to his breath. At least now, he's confident that he had a flashlight with him. He shone his flashlights to the floor where he fell. There was nothing at all.
He shone it again and this time to every corner along the corridor and there was absolutely nothing except for red patches which could be stains from his bleeding leg. He limped along the wall holding tight to every window frame for support until he came across a room situated at the far end of the corridor. That was the only room which he had came across so far.
The door was locked and judging by the condition of the door, the house had been abandoned for quite some time. He shone the light at the door from top to bottom and saw scratches at the bottom. There were a few splinters of the wooden door hanging loose and pointing sharply towards him.
'Man… this is impossible… the scratch marks here are almost the same as the ones on my legs…' Then Brian shone back to his legs. Half of his jeans were torn during the struggle. 'Whoever who did this must be mad! I have to find Lisa!' Clamoured Brian as his eyes swung back to the door. He was about to leave when he heard a soft voice calling for help.
'Brian… please Brian… help me… please help me… please…' Brian forced a brave front as he limped closer to the door. The screaming and the shouting as well as all the fears had almost made him forget how to breathe. He stood still trying to figure out if it was just another illusion of his or that someone was really trapped in that room and that particular someone could be his sister.
No, I have to go! It's just my imagination! Wait! What if… what if its really Lisa who's trap in there and I leave her, what's gonna happen to her? But what if… its the same thing that attacked me and wanted to lure me in… evils and devils could impersonate anyone and any voice… no, no I can't have that pain for the second time!
'Please Brian… are you going to leave me alone here? Please Brian I'm begging you… please let me out here… please… don't you love me anymore?' It sounded so sad and melancholic but once again Brian restrained himself from opening the door.
'I can't… I can't open the door…'Muttered Brian softly, contemplating on whether to open it or not.
'Why not? You can help me and you have to help me Brian if not… they're gonna kill me… please!' Pleaded the voice again and Brian was certain this time that it belonged to his sister.
'But I'm hurt… how am I suppose to break open this door? Its locked!' Like doh! Of course she can't get out because its locked and now you have to do something to get it open dumbbell! Muttered Brian as he tried to open the knob but as he knew, it was locked.
'Please Brian… don't you love me brother… please get me out of here… please!' Begged the voice again. Brian wasted no more time as he kicked the door despite of the blood dripping down his leg. He even tried to barge in by using his body but still the door remained locked.
'I've tried but-''
'No more but Brian! You have to let me out of here if not… our souls would be trapped in here…' Said the voice and Brian hated that voice. It sounded so demanding and so persistent unlike his sister who would never force him in any way. Perhaps the fear of being alone in that dark room caused her to change but how did she end up in that room was another question.
'Lisa… you wait while I go and call for help from the others-''
'There's no time for waiting Brian… if you don't open that door now… I'm going to die and do you like seeing me dying Brian? Do you? So please open the door!' Cried the voice again.
Does she have to be so selfish? Can't she see that I'm hurt? That I'm struggling to even walk? That for being all grown up at 18 I am crying my eyes out like a wuss! Can't she see that I'm scared too? Fine, so she's trapped inside some room and obviously can't see me, but that's besides the pant! Maybe if she stop pestering and bugging me, I might move a little bit faster!
'Brian? Are you still there?' Brian was dumbfounded. He was confused and he was in pain. The bleeding started to stop but the pain was unbearable. He clinched his fingers as he continued to flash the lights right to the door knob. 'Please Brian… open this door… don't you love me anymore?' Sobbed the voice. Brian simply could not tolerate any tears especially when it comes to his sister. It didn't touch or moves him but simply IRRITATING! That's the word he would always describe whenever his sister started to cry.
'Hang on there Lisa! I'll get you out!' Shouted Brian as he shone his lights around the place. There was only a huge flower pot situated at the corner of the corridor and nothing else.
Slowly he walked closer to the door and pressed his ears against it. He heard nothing except for the same thunders from the sky which occasionally startled him from where he stood. He clutched the door knob again hoping for a miracle but again it was locked.
'How am I suppose to open this door?' Asked Brian as his eyes were checking the door thoroughly.
'What?'
'I said how am I suppose to open this door?' Shouted Brian.
'I don't know… maybe you can check from the pot outside?'
'A pot? A flower pot you mean?'
'Why? What other pot can you find out there?' She sounded sarcastic, the same way as she usually did and Brian was certain that it was his sister. Brian shone again at the flower pot.
'You mean the one next to the window?' Asked Brian again.
'Or perhaps you see any other pot elsewhere?' Again she sounded sarcastic.
'Fine!' Brian limped his way to the pot. He pulled the dried branches and stump from the pot.
'The keys are at the bottom of the pot! You have to get the keys and open this door!' At the bottom of the pot? Am I hearing things here? How is she so sure that there are keys underneath this big pot? Mumbled Brian though he did not really paying much attention to those doubts thinking that maybe his sister saw someone planted it there and so she tailed that person and got trapped instead. Brian stop it! We've got work here!
'Well… did you find it?' Asked the voice impatiently. The clay pot was heavy and he had a hard time to topple the pot so that he could get the keys. He put the flashlight down on the floor shining directly at the pot while his right leg support him. His hands were trembling and the blood started to flow again as he exerted too much forced on his right leg for supporting the pot.
His hands were groping for the keys when suddenly he felt something hard on his shoulders.
'Arrggghhhhhhh!!!!!!' Shouted Brian as he pushed the pot away. It fell to the floor and shattered into pieces.
'Aaaaahhhh!!!' Kevin was startled by Brian's scream that he started to scream.
'Oh gosh! Why do you have to frighten me like that Kev! Its not really necessary alright!' Brian sat on the floor with coarse sands dirtying his shirt and legs.
'You scare me man! Why do you have to shout like that?' Exclaimed Kevin as he helped Brian up.
'You don't have to tap my shoulders like that for God's sake! You're giving me heart attack!' Protested Brian feeling irritated by Kevin's sudden tapping on his shoulders. In a split second many things came into his mind and one of them would be the same thing trying to attack him.
'Well sorry then! What are you doing here?' Asked Kevin as he bent over to take Brian's flashlight.
'I'm looking for a hamburger, of course I'm looking for my sister!'
'Fine! You don't have to be so sarcastic anyway!' Mumbled Kevin as he saw Brian was limping his way. 'What happen to you man? 'You're bleeding there… quick we have to clean your cuts first-''
'No! I have to help my sister first!'
'Help her?' Kevin looked confused as he looked uncertainty on Brian's sentence.
'She's trapped inside and I've got to get her out of that room-''
'Wait, wait a minute! What is she doing in there?' All the more Kevin looked confused.
'How do I know? Maybe she run into hiding inside that room… whatever it is we need to get her out!'
'But how? The door is locked I guess so how are we going to open the door, we don't have the key-''
'That was what I'm doing before you came to startle me just now?'
'That you were kneeling down?'
'I was searching for the keys alright! Lisa said that it was underneath that pot-''
'How did she know its underneath that pot?' Kevin sounded suspicious and Brian simply did not appreciate that suspicious.
'I don't have the time to answer any of your questions Kev! I need to find the keys to open that door!' Continued Brian as he bent down and scattered the moist soils and coarse sands away. Even this time Kevin lent him a hand. Silence is the best cure in a situation like this, thought Brian as the two of them were busy in searching for the keys.
'I found it!' Exclaimed Brian weakly, grasping for breath. His entire body throbbing, pulsing with pain especially his thigh. His shirt drenched with his sweats and blood as well as with the moist soils. His hands were trembling badly and his legs were shaking like jelly as he walked towards the door.
'Come… let me do it… you hold the light here alright!' Suggested Kevin and Brian just nodded his head.
Kevin tried inserting the first key but the hole was too big while the second key was too small. Then he tried to insert the third one but it was too tight. There could at least be fifteen keys in here and don't tell me that I have to go through this one by one, sighed Kevin as he wiped his sweat away from his forehead. Brian shone the light with his shaking hands and initially he tried to calm himself down.
'How Kev? Did you manage to open it up?' Asked Brian anxiously.
'I'm trying alright!' Snide Kevin as he continued to try opening the door.
'Did you find it Brian? Quick! I'm getting suffocated here!'
'And we are getting frozen here!' Exclaimed Kevin. Kevin and Brian realised that the temperature suddenly dropped and out of a sudden they felt terribly cold. Even their goosebumps were standing right to the end. Man, I don't like this feeling at all, this is not a good sigh! Don't tell me that its coming again… no! Stop it Brian! Concentrate here! You have to get Lisa out and then get your butts out of this damn place! Mumbled Brian as he stared at Kevin.
'Aaaarrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!!!'
Kevin stopped while Brian shone the lights away to the opposite sides of the corridor. He wanted to limp his way to the other end when Kevin pulled his arms and passed him the keys.
'You stay here and try to open this door… I'll go and check what's going on there-''
'But Kev… I'm… I'm..'
'Now don't tell me that you're scare huh? Look… stay here and continue to find the right keys… once you found it, get your sister out and get out of here as soon as possible…' Kevin sounded serious and Brian knew that he never sounded that serious before. Being the eldest in the family, Brian could get the love of an elder brother from Kevin. He was the one who taught him to be patience and loving towards his sister. Kevin was the only child but he was not a brat. He was an independent young boy who loves to seek adventure and that night's adventure was one of his best and worst encounter so far.
Kevin left him alone in the dark as he walked back to the stairs. He knew that he can't be selfish as to have Kevin with him all the time furthermore its his duty to help his sister and its his responsible to make sure that she's all safe and sound to get home to the arms of his parents.
Soon, he was all busy in looking for the right key for the door as Lisa was quiet inside. Maybe she too, thought that keeping silence would be better at a time like that.
* * *
'Oh my God! Nat! What happen?' Kevin rushed to Nathan who was lying in a pool of blood. He saw Nathan was muttering something and he pulled Nathan closer to his ears.
'Kev… Kev… get Brian… get him out of here…' Whispered Nathan softly. Kevin wiped the blood dripping from his lips.
'What happen Nat? You've got to tell me who did this to you? Who attack you and… and where's Howie?' Asked Kevin continuously.
'Li… Lisa… she… she did this…'
'Lisa? Impossible! She was trapped upstairs in the room… Brian and I… we were trying to get her out-''
'No Kev… no… you've got to trust me… quick… find Howie…' Howie? Oh yes! How can I forget about him, thought Kevin. Slowly he laid Nathan's head on the floor. He was unsure how Nathan was hurt but there was blood and he really meant it as loads of blood everywhere.
Kevin trailed the blood stains on the floor until he found Howie behind the dining table. He was lying with his head facing down. He too was hut. Kevin ran up to him and checked his pulse. Thank God he's still alive! But Kevin knew that he had to fight against time and he had to bring them to the hospital fast if not their injuries would be fatal.
After helping Howie to get out of the house, Kevin went back to get Nathan.
'Nat? Nathan! Wake up! Don't close your eyes buddy! Wake up!' Shouted Kevin as he gave Nathan a few tight slaps before Nathan slowly opened up his eyes.
'How's… how's Howie?' He asked with a weak smile. His face was pale and his lips were becoming bluish black.
'He's still alive and I've put him outside… quick I'll get you out too then I'll go and get Brian-''
'There's not enough time Kev! You… you… you've got to get Brian out-''
'No! I have to get you out first-''
'No! That would be too late for Brian then… get him before she gets him Kev… tell Brian that… that… she's no longer his sister… she's evil…'
'No Nat! We'll leave this place together alright now I want you to listen to me… stop talking and we'll get out of this place-''
'I'm dying Kev… I'm dying… I won't… I won't be able to see my mom… she must be waiting for me now… tell her… tell her that… I love her will ya?' Whispered Nathan as blood continued to flow down from his mouth.
'No! I can't let you die and you won't die Nat! You've got to wake up and live for your mom damn it!' Cried Kevin as he helped Nathan up.
'I'm sorry Kev… for not blowing the whistle… guess got to return it back to you now…' Nathan handed the whistle back to Kevin. 'Kev… I feel cold…'
'No! Nothing is gonna happen to you man! You've got to stand up… Nat? Nathan? Nat?' That was the last time Kevin ever saw Nathan smiled. Nathan being the naughtiest among the five of them was just like a little brother to Kevin.
Kevin cried and for the first time he realised how scared he was.
'… get him before she gets him Kev… tell Brian that… that… she's no longer his sister… she's evil…… get him before she gets him Kev… tell Brian that… that… she's no longer his sister… she's evil…' The thought on Brian gave him the will to survive and to get his cousin out before the next disaster struck again. He left Nathan alone in the cold as he grabbed a metal rod which he found on the dining table. Knowing that one of them was seriously injured and the other was dead, he can't afford to make anymore mistakes by letting Brian opening that door.
This has to end once and for all and I have to get him out at any costs even if I had to knock him unconscious! Thought Kevin as he rushed his way up to the second storey.
* * *
'Brian? Are you done with it yet? Quick you've got to open the door!' Pleaded the voice again. That was the tenth time that Brian tried to open the door by using the keys. It would either be too small or too bight for the hole.
'Oh Lord please help me… please open this door!' He inserted the key into the hole. Smooth… he muttered to himself knowing that it fit perfectly well into the hole. Slowly he turned the key to the right. Cluck! He heard a cluck sound and it showed a good sign, a real good sign as he managed to crave a smile now. He then continued to twist the key to the left and heard another cluck sound. Bingo!
The door was finally opened. It gave a creepy creaking sound made from the rusty fillet. He pushed the door cautiously. From afar Brian could smell something stale and in fact the smell was too stink that he had to cover his nose. Now then I know why you keep on pushing me, the whole place stinks man! Grumbled Brian.
As he entered the room, he could feel a chill running down his spines. He could not help it but to feel of being alone in that room.
'Li… Lisa? Lisa, where are you? Lisa?' Called Brian as he flashed his lights inside the room.
Great! Perfect timing for you to go low huh! Muttered Brian as he knocked the flashlights a few times on his palm. It was bright initially but as he walked in the lights started to fade and gradually went out completely.
Kev… wherever you are I think now is the best time that you come back here!
The fear of uncertainty began to grip him knowing that he would be spending his time in the dark. He pictured his parents waiting anxiously by the door step for their return and by looking at the time on his watch, they should be lying comfortably on their beds. He would be reading as usual with a glass of warm milk by the side of his bed while Lisa would have been fast asleep.
But now, they were trapped inside the haunted mansion where not even a single soul would dare to try. At the same time he regretted for asking Lisa to come along, at least now he don't have to waste time looking for her. He was cursing himself when he heard a soft lullaby followed by a shriek laughters.
'Lisa? Lisa is that you?' Asked Brian as he walked slowly to the front. He noticed that the room was well furnished with all the girls' things like dolls, gowns, veils and even scarfs. Brian saw a medium size bed well-decorated with red comforter and with dusts of course. He also noticed a small wooden dressing table right far to the end next to the window.
'Heeeemmmmm…eemmmmm…. Eeeeemmmmm….' Brian stopped his steps and turned around. It was the same lullaby with the same laughters. He guessed that it could be more than just a girl laughing hysterically like that.
'Lisa is that you? Come on man we have to leave this place! Lisa! Lisa!' Brian was about to continue his steps when someone tapped hard on his shoulders.
'Aaaaarrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!'
'Aaaaarrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!!!!'
'Man! You shouldn't scare me like that!' Shouted Brian when he saw Kevin gasping for breath.
'We have to leave this place-''
'No way! I've got to find Lisa Kev! I've got to find her-''
'No time for that-''
'What do you mean by no time for that huh? She's my sister and I've got to find her no matter what! If you scare then why don't you just leave with the others, I'm staying here and look for her!' Brian shoved Kevin away but Kevin refused to budge.
'Listen to me Brian-''
'No! I am not listening to you Kev! No more! Its all because of your stupid game that we landed in this state and its all because of your stupid bet that we all are suffering like this-'' Shouted Brian and before he could finish his sentence, Kevin punched right to his face. Brian hit the bed and fell to the ground. Kevin grabbed him hard by his shirt and pulled him closer.
'Listen here buddy! No one and I really mean no one would expect this to happen… you can't blame me or the others and stop reproaching yourself for what has happened to Lisa! I know that you love your sister Brian and we all love her too but there's something which you need to know and that Howie is seriously injured out there and Nat… Nat is dead Brian, he's dead alright and now we've got to get the hell out of here fast!'
Did I hear it correctly? Nat? Nat is dead? He must be kidding! How… how can Nat be dead.. he can't died, no! Not here at least…
'Impossible… he can't be dead…' Kevin was speechless as he let loose of Brian's collars. There seemed to be so much emotions involved in that house. Just like what Brian said, he too found it impossible to believe that Nathan was dead in his arms. They have been childhood friends and knowing that one fifth of their members was dead because of a stupid game was a real tragic.
'We can't waste anymore time here… we have to leave… we'll get help to find Lisa once we are out… I'm sure that wherever she is right now, she'll be fine but we have to get out of here to save her…' Said Kevin and this time his voice was softer than just now.
Brian took a moment and closed his eyes. He admitted that he felt relieved knowing Kevin willing to come back for him but nevertheless a part of him was reluctant to leave because of his little sister.
'Brian? We have to leave now…' Said Kevin as he flashed his lights down towards the door.
Just as they were about to step out of the door, Brian heard a soft sobs coming behind the bed.
'You don't love me, don't you? You want to leave me alone here Brian? How could you leave me here Brian? How are you going to answer to mom and dad when they find out that you actually leave me here all alone…?' Cried the voice. Kevin held on to Brian's arms.
'No Brian! She's not your sister anymore! She's evil now! We've got to go now!' Shouted Kevin as the room started to become windy. All the windows glasses suddenly began to slam against the walls. Some shattered into thousands of pieces.
'So you're leaving me huh? I guess you just don't love me aren't you?' Brian broke free from Kevin's hands as he walked towards the bed. He seemed to be in a trance as he walked slowly and unsteadily against the strong wind.
'Brian! You can't go! Brian! Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!' Kevin felt a strong hand flipped him out of the window.
'Brian… Brian…' Kevin called as he felt his body getting weaker. He tried to fight back the feeling but knew that whatever energy he had left was draining out of him. He felt the thud as his body hit the cold ground. And then, there was nothing.
Inside the room Brian was still fighting against the wind. He was a few steps away from a girl whose back was facing him. She had a long dark coloured hair, just like Lisa and from the way she sat, its almost hard to distinguish if that was not Lisa. Perhaps the only difference was the clothes. Lisa was in her favourite jeans but not she's in all white, in white gown and even covered her face with a white veil.
'Where is my sister?' Asked Brian as he got closer to the figure. Slowly the figure started to change. Her dark coloured hair turned to real white and he figure seemed to be getting bigger. Brian wanted to run but it seemed that his legs were rooted to the ground using a super glue.
'Heeeemmmmm…eemmmmm…. Eeeeemmmmm….' Oh no! Not again!
'Where is my sister?' Asked Brian again and this time he was right behind the figure.
'What's wrong Brian? Don't you recognise me? I am your sister…' The voice changed from soft and sweet to a real course and cracking.
'No! You are not my sister! Where is she?' Shouted Brian trying to overcoming his fear.
'How could you forget me Brian? You left me remember? Just when I need you guys there with me… they left me including you!'
'I don't what you're talking about here but I really need to know where is my sister?'
'Too bad fate brought us back together in this house Brian… fate would let us be separated again… we'll be happy together don't you think? Maybe we would have been happy if its not for her!' Brian could see a pair of fiery red eyes flashing straight at him.
'No! Fate brought me here to take my sister away from this damn place!'
'Wake up Brian! Wake up! I am your sister!'
'No! You are not my sister! You are a ghost… please let go of my sister…'
'Looks like you don't really appreciate my kindness there Brian and so be it!'
In seconds Brian felt a terribly pain on his legs especially his left thigh. It was as though someone was sawing his legs off. Brian fell to the floor, throbbing with pain. There were no voice, no cries except for pure tears rolling down his cheeks.
Then he felt something was biting his hands to the back making him yelled out in agony.
The anonymous voice gave a shrieking laughter as she grabbed his head and gave it a twist.
