At the Halloween 25th anniversary convention in Pasadena, California this past October, Moustapha Akaad gave Halloween fans around the world a unique and one of a kind opportunity: To appear in a cameo in an actual Halloween movie! When the smoke cleared, the winner was a 19 year old girl from Simi Valley, Heather Bowen! So I got in touch with her and she was kind enough to contribute her time. Here is an interview with the first confirmed actress to appear in the upcoming Halloween 9.

Halloween Online: First off all, tell us about yourself...(How old, where from, interests, etc....) Heather Bowen: I would just like to first start off by saying I know that there were people that deserved to win, and I was on the crew, but that had absolutely nothing to do with me winning. There was another contestant (Tony Sago) that was on the crew and didn't win. So, I hope people don't think it was unfair or anything. Well, I'm 19 years old and I live in Simi Valley, CA. I've been out of school for a couple of years so I have a career as a mortgage loan processor. I've been in a traveling professional dance team for about 6 years now. I'm just pretty much laid back and I like to get freaky on the dance floor. Halloween Online: Which of the Halloween movies is your favorite? Favorite scene or characters? Heather Bowen: Well, unlike most people, I like HR the most because I thought it was good they kinda made it like a sequal for "today's world," but I definately like H6 too because of the story line. I definately hope they make H9 with more of a family story line. Not many people like Freddy's character, but I thought he was funny as hell. I love Busta Rhymes. Halloween Online: What other movies, and music are you into? Heather Bowen: I'm definately into all horror movies, just not the gore so much. I like mostly hip hop and stuff, anything I can shake my ass too. Halloween Online: What kind of a scene do you hope you get to do in Halloween 9? Heather Bowen: Well, I think it would be totally cool to do like a nude or topless scene. Like maybe if they ever re-did the topless scene with P.J. Soles, I would love to do that. Halloween Online: Tell us about your experiences at the H25 convention, what did you do while you were there, who did you meet, etc..Any favorite moments stand out? Heather Bowen: Well I was helping out with the tour and tickets and some of the vendors and stuff, so I got to meet a whole bunch of cool people. Shouts out to the tour guides group!! Of course my favorite moment was when I won! Halloween Online: Did you get to talk to Moustapha Akaad or any of the Halloween people yet? Any word on what Halloween 9 will be about yet? Heather Bowen: I'm really not supposed to say anything. Halloween Online: What are your ambitions or goals in life? Heather Bowen: Well, I think it would be really cool to pose for Playboy one day, I would die happy. Halloween Online: What inspired you to enter the contest, and what gave you the idea for your video? Heather Bowen: Ha ha, well I wasn't going to submit a video because I figured the chances were like one in a thousand and plus Tony Sago, who I had been haning out with when we were planning the tour guides entered and I just figured he would probably win. Then last minutely I decided to do it. My tape definately sucked, I can tell you that. I overnighted it the day before it was due, and for some reason I won, I don't know what the hell. Halloween Online: Any final words for the Halloween fans? Heather Bowen: Just that I can't wait until the next Halloween comes out just like everybody else.
