For starters,
I've had alot, on through the years of course, but for now I have enough . Yes, I've made mistakes but who doesn't
What do I have now? You'll see.

Guitar/guitars?
I only have one guitar, right now anyway. It's an old one, about 12 years old that is, but a good one. This one has been my favorite out of all of them that I have owned. It is a Westone, black with a red and blue crackle finish. Of course, since wanted my own sound it is not stock. A few things were changed but not many. It has three pick-ups; 1 humbucker and 2 single-coils. The humbucker is a Seymour Duncan - Duncan Distortion. With the body of the guitar and the pickup it has a killer, I mean killer tone. I'm the kind of player that loves harmonics (picking harmonics).
The bridge is an old Kahler Spider (stock) but added a little toy in the back so when the bar is just hanging, the bridge is locked. Pull the bar up and you've got a loose goose. I love the neck; it's thin and very friendly with my finger hand.
I also have a copy of a Les Paul (just the body). It's still under construction. I plan to really make this one a real punch of a guitar. Plan on getting EMG's for the pick-ups and a fine tunner tail piece for the bridge.

Amp and all that stuff
For an amp I'm running through a half stack. The cabinet is an old 4X12 Crate cabinet but the case is all that came from Crate. The speakers are Genz-Benz. Right now I'm only running through two 12's but they have enough kick for you to feel them. In the near future I plan on putting two more in the cabinet. The head is an old (70's model) Ampeg. It's all tube baby! Pushes well over 100 watts. Sereously, it really rattles my house. It can make the pictures fall. No kidding! I was very lucky when I got this. An old friend just gave it to me. He didn't think it worked. A friend of his gave it to him thinking the same. Bad mistake. The only thing i had to replace what the pot for the mids. Thats it. From the lows to the highs and even with this it still has a real gutty sound to it. The tones of the guitar and amp are great and very versitile. If I wanna play the blues, the tone can make you turn blue. If I wanna deep tone and grunt the earth, you can feel the sound.Last but not least, (yeah, I use a preamp also) a Digitech Valve FX and a PMC 10 foot controler. The preamp uses tubes also. No, I don't use the effects loop in the Ampeg. I use both EQ's, the preamp and the Ampeg. I have my own unique sound and I love it.

Stupid mistakes
I've owned many guitars but I got my first guitar when I was 11 or so. It was one of then cheap ones from Sear's. A Harmony. It came with a little plastic amp. Battery operated or plug it in. I didn't know much about guitars back then. When I opened the box a saw a long round metal looking thing (still don't know what it was). First thing that popped in my head - "Wow, a wammy bar!" I stuck in the jack, which was next to the volume and tone pots, and thought "Why ain't this thing doing anything?" Oh well, I was young.
A couple of guitars down the road, I had a Gibson Les Paul. It was cool. Bought it from a pawn shop in Tenessee for about $350. One thing that was kinda weird about it was it had a one piece tremolo bridge. A floating bridge, I mean floating. It was all one piece. Springs and all. Later I traded it to my guitar teacher I had back then for a 4X12 cabinet.
Later, I bought a Gibson Explorer. Brand new, $620. I always loved Explorers. Loved the way they sounded and looked. Paid an extra $250 just to get it painted black. Of course, I was young and stupid. About a year after owning it I traded it for an Ibanez and rack (just the rack, no processors). The Ibanez wasn't that great of a guitar. It wasn't one of the cheap ones but it also wasn't the best. Sold it soon after.
Within that time, I bought another Gibson Explorer but this one was used. I got it for about $400. I mowed many yards for this guitar. Eventually I got tired of this one and sold it. After a while, I felt really, I mean really stupid! I just owned two Gibson Explorers and sold one for almost nothing and for no reason. And the other one I traded it for something that wasn't worth trading for. We're all young and stupid; at times I guess.
The last one I owned (besides the Westone) was a Fender Telecaster. 50th aniversy model. It was the only Fender that really liked. Traded a dude an acoustic for it. I thought it was a good move. Acoustic cheapo for a Fender. Later I had to pawn it. I really needed the money.
