Hey this is Christopher (drummer for Around The Bend).  Sorry for the lack of updates since March 30, 2003.   Does anyone visit this website anymore?  On April 11th we played the Mill Valley Battle Of The Bands and actually won 3rd place (but due to us not being present, that was awarded to a different band).  Myself and Aaron (guitar) have quit the band.  This was all a friendly separation and we remain friends with Pat W, Pat R, and J.D.  I would like to thank all the people who supported us.  I'm really happy with the music Around The Bend made, but I just got frustrated by things such as how we couldn't find many shows and other things.  So I decided it was time to move on.   I always had a hard time judging whether the audiences we played to enjoyed our shows.  So with all that I decided to quit the band.  Aaron soon followed.  I talked with Pat R (lead vocals, guitar) last week and he informed me the band has not been doing anything.   But I do urge people to keep listening to the stuff Pat R. has been recording, since his stuff always blows me away.  Continue to buy his solo CD, it's well worth it.  If you're interested in seeing me play, I'm now playing in a ska band that's been gigging a ton around the Kansas City Area.  Here's our website: http://raginghormonesska.tripod.com  I urge you to visit it, sign the guestbook, and maybe check us out at a future show.  If you'd like to send Around The Bend an e-mail at routetonowhere@hotmail.com, if you have any questions about anything or comments about all of this.  We appreciate all mail we receive.  As for Around The Bend, I dont rule out ever playing with them again.  We'll see what the future holds.  So to the rest of the band, I wish you all the best luck in the rest of your musical careers.  Thanks for playing with me for a 1 1/2 years.
