----------Cait's Take----------

When was it when you decided that 3 Doors Down was your favorite band? In the summer of 2000 I heard Kryptonite on the radio, and I loved it! I taped it on the radio....and sung the words over and over! Eventually the CD was purchased, and I would listen to it every morning with my cousin that summer! We loved them, and they were our favorite band! In the mid 90's this oh-so-wonderful group formed in the small town of Escatawpa, Mississippi. In Foley, Alabama on a small gig trip, they were walking out of a building, they saw some letters that had fallen off the front. When they looked at the letters, they saw it said Doors Down. Since that moment they called themselves 3 Doors Down, because there were just 3 of them at that time. They sold a self-recorded album at their shows to promote their band.....well anyways, thy had made a catchy song, called Kryptonite. They convinced the DJ to play it on WCPR Radio in Biloxi, Mississippi. Soon requests poured in from the locals, and some major record labels called, and the band teamed up with Republic/Universal Records, the rest is history!
