Here We Go Again/Won't Take It Back
Produced By Andy Wolff  & Terry Agombar
Arranged by The Resinators

With Terry Agombar rejoining the band as it's new bass guitarist, the band was ready to record their third album.  The recording sessions for this album started in late 2005 at Aggy Road studios, which was owned by Terry Agombar.  Unfortunately, only two songs were recorded from these sessions, so it was decided to just release these songs as a single.  Both songs were written by Andy Wolff over ten years ago.

"Here We Go Again" is about relationships coming and going.  It has a strong country-rock influence with a fine mixing of acoustic and electric guitars as well as superb vocal harmonies.

"Won't Take It Back" was the back side to this single mainly because of it's defiant lyrics.  It features additional Hammond Organ sounds produced by Terry Agombar.

Verse 1:

I used to be bummed out when I had a girl, then she was gone

And when I started to forget about her, another one…

…would come along

Chorus:

CUZ IN MY HEART I FELT HER THUNDER

AND I AM STARTING TO WONDER

WHY SHOULD I FALL FOR ANOTHER ONCE AGAIN

HERE WE GO AGAIN

IT'S NOT QUITE THE SAME

I GUESS I CAN'T COMPLAIN

HERE WE GO AGAIN

Verse 2 & 3:

I keep hopin' that I will find a woman that turns me on

We'd make love through all of the night and then I'd watch her dress…

…in the dawn

Bridge:

NO MORE SINGING ANY SAD SONGS

ABOUT THE LOVE THAT'S COME AND GONE

NO MORE SITTIN' THERE WITH NOTHIN' TO SAY

GOTTA KEEP MOVIN’ ON

KEEP PLUGGIN' AWAY

Chorus:

ONCE AGAIN

HERE WE GO AGAIN

I GUESS I CAN'T COMPLAIN

IT'S NOT QUITE THE SAME

HERE WE GO AGAIN

Verse 1

I used to be kind just for my piece of mind, but that was in the past

Now that I've changed, people say I'm deranged, but nice guys always finish last

When I had enough, I would call someone's bluff,

And I dared them all just to try

But they'd just get mad and that's really so sad

Cuz I love to catch 'em in a lie

Chorus

I LOVE TO MEET THEM FACE TO FACE

WATCH ME PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACE

AND YOU KNOW WHATEVER I SAY

I WON'T TAKE IT BACK…   AND THAT'S A FACT

Verse 2

Well bitches keep bitchin' and snitches keep snitchin',

And I always love to get 'em back

I'm an asshole to them, but I don't give a damn

Cuz I don't take any of their crap

Verse 3

Well I seen things X-rated, but I don't feel obligated

To say what's wrong or even right

Unlike the people who were preachin' as if they were teachin'

To me they seem so uptight

Is it prophecy or fantasy, that's what I'd like to see

If the world would ever end

There would be no more deceiving cuz no one's left believing

That it could happen just to them

Verse 4

Well bleeding hearts bleed and mass media feeds, on the bias instead of fact

Why does someone just quit like they can't take a hit

And watch them all…      all crawl back

Chorus:                 (REPEAT)

I WON'T TAKE IT BACK…   AND THAT'S A FACT            © 2003 Hometown Music
