EQUATOR SHOW JANUARY 20TH:
(reported by Becca Seery - rockin' chilla-chick)
"Thanks for coming in such crappy weather" as Derek once said. Well this was true about tonight, the weather was quite cold and snowy, but yet the show had to go on... and alittle snow was not going to stop any chillas from showing up. As the new army all slowly piled in the equator as Bladed Shade played everyone could tell tonight was a very hyper night. People blowing bubbles, tosing balloons and just talking about how happy they where to be there. It was quite obvious everyone had alittle cabin fever from being locked in there houses till Saturday night everyone packing up getting pumped up to go crazy and rock the equator.
Around 9 o clock Bladed Shade was finishing up and tHrOnE would be on in a jiffy. They where all prepared since before the show the guys sat in the back tuning up and getting ready. Greeting the chillas as they entered. As they got on stage thanked everyone for coming out in such bad weather and then got right into "New Army". At this time balloons were flying.. But soon as the song went on everyone got to into it to pay attention to the balloons which made a quick fall to the ground. Then without even stopping the guys went right into "Getting Old". The crazy chillas where havin a ball at this time doing some old funky mash potato dances. Then next was the song we all love and know "Everyones Grudge". Then between songs the guys let everyone know how they weren't feeling to good...but where getting better from there flu they all recently had. Then as they finished telling us about being sick and how much it stinks they rocked everyone right into "Blackeye". Once again not stopping between songs just getting right into "Chewy's Moshpit". And then a song thats name kinda fit the whole seen so obvisouly this would be "Winter". The kiddies were all having a blast, but then the boys had to stop to give us the intro to there next song. The anthem but yet they are getting very sick of it. From the show we all loved as children the theme song to "Reading Rainbow". Some chillas dancing around like butterflies and once again during this song people tried to get a kanga lined started. Then after this song they stopped once again to tell everyone how awesome the Equator was and how nice Al is and apologizing for getting there sickness spread to the microphones. But it was okay cause Al let them know he was not the one who would be using them that would be Grey Cell Green. But they didn't let that all worry them they just jumped and made everyone jump into "So Jealous". But after "So Jealous" was the new song that no one had heard yet called "Meringue". This being a very good song and a different one to go crazy too the crowd couldn't sing along so they just all jumped and went crazy. Then it was time for the wonder "With it" to fill the Equator. As this song ended it was time for the last song so this would most definatly be "Overthrown". And of course getting the intro by Derek of... "NOW EVERYBODY JUMP!!!!!!!!!" Which everyone did...but people had been jumping the whole time but not like during this song. It's kinda a last song ritual that everyone goes the most crazy on the last song, which this being a good thing they played "Overthrown" this being a very easy song to jump to and have a blast.
After the guys where all done and cleared there stuff off to the side so Grey Cell Green to get ready. So this being alittle bit of time for the guys to maybe get a break. But no that would never happen. People made there ways to the doors getting some air taking a breath before Grey Cell Green goes on. Other people not just taking breaths some crazy ones throwing snowballs and making snow angels...I wonder who those ones where?? hmmm...The guys sat down while Grey Cell Green started. But then it was time for Derek and Casey to play with them. Calling themselves Handsome. They played two songs which was very cool. And definatly it was very obvious everyone loved it because every single person in there was moving having lots of fun being crazy. Then Derek and Casey finished up Grey Cell Green wrapped things up. Finishing the night very well. And every chilla left most definatly happy having lots of fun. And dying till the Webster show on February 3rd. Knowing that night would rock too.
EQUATOR SHOW JANUARY 20TH:
(reported by Kristen Sadowski - the mystical magic-chilla)
What was thought to be a drab and dreary night turned
out to be not such a disappointment afterall, but
rather the most awesomely fantasimistic,
groovaliciously thrilling equator concert of the
year!!! The chillas were set to pump up the jam with
kickin' red balloons and a lonely pair of ghetto
green...meanwhile bubbles filled the air as those
rather under the weather guys of tHrOnE prepared
themselves to kick ass and knock mama right out of her
rocker!
So like always the guys slammed dunked the
funk with their hardcore "New Army"!! And then
balloons they went a flying!! tHrOnE busted out the
ever so dynamic "Getting Old" and off went the chillas
dancing and screaming their sparkling screams of
celebration...but watch out for that purple penguin..he
might just drop on by! Next came that ever so popular
"Everyone's Grudge" which definitely suited the
weather since it was just so crappy-nappy outside but
alas!!! SNOWBALL FIGHTS RULE WITH CHILLAS!!! With
dazzling lights and killer strobes the guys smoothly
jammed into "Chewy's Mospit" and then the ever so
smoothalicious "Winter" and what do you know?
"Winter's falling down soooon" and indeed it
did...about 2 inches while us chilla army rOcKeD oN
with tHrOnE!! And what could be the spifirifically
zestly awaited "Reading Rainbow." And thanks to those
super-charged chillas that decided to take it upon
themselves and literally make that butterfly fly high
in the sky, a small trail of reading rainbow chillas
traveled around tight-knit areas in the equator (ehh
hem Magical, Patrice, Becca, and Morgan). So what
concert would be dizzied and funktified without the
following "bring me back to when I liked you..and you
crushed me I'm all over you..." oh yes ladies and
gentleman..name that tune! you guessed it "So Jealous"
and the sizzling vanilla scented yummyscrumptious mist
came mysteriously creeping through the tHrOnE-charged
crowd. A new twist was added tonight to the line-up of
songs...quite tropical song..reminds me of floating
flounder...you know, from The Little Mermaid..well
anyway, this song, "Meringue" was indeed a hootinanny
of fun!! I just don't know how these guys do it but
they are just amazingly superfantastic!! Now I ask you
super fly chillas...what would a tHrOnE concert be
without the ever-so-famous "With It" followed by the
foot stopping, unendingly rockin "Overthrown"?
Hehe..NOTHING!!! So indeed, tHrOnE completely blew
that purple penguin out of his snowsuit.
Another
extremely excellent concert performed by the soon to
be famous tHrOnE!! Awesome job guys, like always!!
Ohhh but wait! I almost forgot!! A special treat was
in store for all those zany-wacky-coowal peeps- deReK
and Ces jumped on stage with Grey Cell Green and
kicked it to their own beat as a band called
"handsome"...oh yes ladies hold your drool...deek
belted out the radiant chords to two songs and ces
pounded like a woodpecker on his drums! So with all
this said and done, I must say what an awesomely
fantasimistic performance and I can't wait to see you
all there at the Webster! This one is surely going to
kick some ass! rOcK oN!!!

EQUATOR SHOW JANUARY 20TH:
(reported by Patrice Rasmussen - a hardcore chilla)
'Snow, snow go away come again some other day' is what some Chilla's were singing, hoping that the weather wouldn't be too bad. Luckily, it wasn't snowing too bad, so all the crazy Chilla's could go see the rocking band known as tHrOnE at the wonderful Equator! As the doors opened, the Chilla's filled the place with themselves and with the enthusiastic spunk they bring to all the tHrOnE shows. The tHrOnE boys greeted the Chilla's with happiness. First up on stage was Bladed Shade. After hearing a bit of their music they were finished, this meant that tHrOnE was up next!! The stage was set up, Casey's drums in the back, deRek's bass all set up on the left side and of course you cant forget about Justin on the right side with his guitar!
Balloons were flying, some red ones, and 2 ghetto green ones! There was some bubbles floating around a little bit. The rumor of a change in the order of songs was corret!...'New Army' was played first!'...This awesome song about the Chilla's! Every one was of corse glad to hear it. The song we all heard next was 'Getting Old', the Chilla's of course were still yelling and screaming for the guys. The oh, so awesome song called 'Everyone's Grudge'...yes the song about a brown cow and a white cow who would win? SNOTS!! Ewww!! That's what you think of saying when people talk about snots, but yet everyone had 'em up their nose, and tHrOnE was not shy about talking about it! Being sick and having the flu really isn't fun! But next the talented boys rocked into 'Blackeye' and kept rocking into 'Chewy's Moshpit'! Now, during this song the strobe light went crazy and everyone was jumping and having tons of fun. We were all feeling 'Winter' in us, and of course they played it!! Take a look it's in a book 'Reading Rainbow' was up next. Some Chilla's((Magical, Becca and myself)) had a line going, but yet I guess no one really wanted to join on, or either they were just scared..but next time they better join in!! Ending that song, the guys talked about how the Equator is such a cool place, and they thanked Al. 'So Jealous', oh, aren't we all?! A new order of songs once again!...but yet it was a new song! It'll be coming off their new CD they will be recording in February. It was called 'Meringue'...it reminded me of tangerines, but it was awesome and rocking! Everyone seemed to love it! I'm 'With It' and so is tHrOnE as they played that song. EVERYBODY JUMP!! Cuz 'Overthrown' was being played. That was the end..or was it?!
Grey Cell Green was up next, a chance for tHrOnE and the Chilla's to have a break. They all talked to each other. Some went out in the snow, making snow angels and having snow ball fights. Casey joined in the snow ball fight, but he got hit by snow, and he had to go cry to his mommy, I guess he couldn't take it ((It's okay Casey, we all get sad when we get hit by snow)).
Grey Cell Green was playing, after a couple songs, the calibration of them and tHrOnE happened! Casey played drums, deReK sang, while 2 guys from Grey Cell Green played bass and guitar. They played some Handsome songs...a band from a while ago that broke up. All of the fans of tHrOnE and Grey Cell Green and maybe some new comers were all jumping yelling and having funn!
tHrOnE rOcKs!!! CHiLLaS rOcK!! rOCk On! I hope to see all you Chilla's at the Webster show...buy your tickets ahead of time, and support tHrOnE!
