EL-N-GEE CONCERT OCTOBER 21ST:
(reported by Jeff Maker II)
This past Saturday, October 21, 2000 tHrOnE returned to the El-N-Gee Club for yet another unbelievable performance. As always the atmosphere gave you goose bumps. Before they took the stage they stood by their merchandise booth greeting fans and promoting their new tHrOnE T-shirts as well as their December 8, 2000 show at the Webster Theatre. Then the boys disappeared into the back ally of the club and the stage lights went completely dark. tHrOnE's roadies set up their equipment while Dan "the guitar tech" tuned both Justin's and Derek's instruments. When everything was ready and in place the roadies left the stage and the back door opened and tHrOnE came up on stage. The crowd erupted in cheers. Casey sat at his drum set, hit the bass peddle a few times, Derek picked up his bass, and Justin picked up his guitar and BAM..."Getting Old" strikes in and the crowd starts jumping. Then "Winter" fell down and then Derek dedicated their set to the Pelican Brief because one of their cousins was in that movie. Pretty funny hay?! FUNNY! So then the guys played "Everyone's Grudge", "Blackeye", "Pages", "Reading Rainbow", "With It", and then what many fans have been waiting for...the debut of tHrOnE's next song release "New Army"!! Then the "Overthrown" finale! The feeling of the music gave me chills as always. Every time I hear their music, every time they get on stage, and every time they do what they love doing, I realize why I love this stuff so much. There is nothing and no one like tHrOnE out there. After their 45 minute set was over they left the stage and went to the back ally to cool off. The fans gathered around the merchandise table and the tHrOnE came back into the venue to thank their fans for coming out to see them and for being so cool! The guys hung out for the rest of the show showing their support for the other bands on the bill that night. tHrOnE's next show will be on the road this Thursday night in Allentown, PA at the Crocodile Rock. They will be returning to CT in November for some more shows as well as a possible in store performance at Sam Goody at the Meriden Mall promoting their Webster Theatre show. Keep checking back here at ThroneOnline.com for all of the details on that one. You chilla-chillas rock! Never forget that!
