BATTLE OF THE BANDS CONCERT OCTOBER 5TH:
(reported by Jeff Maker II)
On Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000 at the Little City Cafe in Middletown, CT tHrOnE went up against 6 bands for a cash prize of $1500. They put on a killer 30 minutes set for the 21 and over crowd that was in attendance. Which included "getting old" "blackeye" "everyone's grudge" "so jealous" "with it" "overthrown" and even a kick ass rocking Reading Rainbow cover! They brought the chilla-chillas along with em for the concert because they knew none of their true fans would be able to get in the door. So the chillas represented the fans that night. When the night was over and all of the votes were tallied up, tHrOnE ended up tying with a band out of MA called Groove Selector. The two bands will be splitting the cash prize since it was ruled a tie. tHrOnE will be back at the Little City Cafe for the winner's concert to perform an extremely long set. The set time has been rumored to be...2-3 hours!! Pictures from this and other recent concerts will be on ThroneOnline.com very soon.
EQUATOR CONCERT OCTOBER 6TH:
(reported by Kristen Sadowski)
Imagine this~ it's a chilly night...starlit
sky...slight flow of music is in the air just right
for a groovin concert. And who should do the honor of
a stellar performance but non other than the
cheeseballs themselves...tHrOnE! The Equator in
Manchester is always a lively spot for supremo musical
action so what better place than having tHrOnE as the
special guests. Was this just another concert? I don't
think so.tHrOnE out did themselves again..and who was
back in action? Non other than the Maker himself!!
tHrOnE shocked and amazed their audience by jazzing up
the theme of reading rainbow with a more hard-core
kickin beat...tHrOnE me baby...hell yes...they played
their ever so fantasimistic songs like "Getting Old," "Winter," "Pages," "Blackeye," "Everyone's' Grudge," "Chewy's Moshpit," "So Jealous," and of course, topped it
off with the infamous and dazzling "With It" and
"Overthrown". There was definitely more energy present at
this concert than I have ever witnessed before: the
awesome lighting show, vanilla scented smoke, and just
the adrenaline rush was incredibly out of this world.
Even a moshpit was erupted for the first time ever in the Equator!! And if you've ever seen
white men can't jump, you've got another thing coming cause
tHrOnE's performance gave that a whole new meaning. In
the words of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory I
think it's safe to say that the guys of tHrOnE are
definitely the "music makers and the dreamers of the
dreams." Absolutely a knockout performance and
believe me...it all gets better with tHrOnE :)

tHrOnE RuLeZ-RoCk On BaBy! Their El-N-Gee show is gonna be off the hook and I can't wait to see them in action in New London!
