David John Matthews

David J. Matthews was born on January 9th 1967 in South Africa. Throughout the years Dave's family uprooted around the world (South Africa, england, Virginia) which has created his unique views, accent, and basically the person we know him as. Dave left South Africa around the age of 18 to come to America leaving without completing HS and receiving a HS diploma. Dave began to bartend at a jazz club in Charlottesville Virginia. He is a self taught musician who has always had music as a large part of his life. 

Dave plays a Gibson Chet Atkin's solid body electric-acoustic guitar with D'addario Medium nickel bronze strings. He uses Nady 950 wireless unit. API 512 preamp. Whirlwind multi selector. Myers CP 10 parametric EQ. White 5024 digital parametric EQ. Myers s1 processor. Eventide GTR 4000. Crest 7001 power amp. Fender Deluxe reverb amp. Rocktron midi pedals. Myers Stealth USM1 monitors. He keeps it all in tune with a Korg DT-1 pro tuner.
