October 31, 2002 - The finalized UK tour dates are up. The set for the tour will include songs from both records as well as several new ones. And for those of you asking about a US tour, there are plans for a possible tour in early 2003.

September 10, 2002 - We've got some of the UK tour dates for November confirmed now. More shows will be added. Check back for updates.

Also, Track & Field Organisation will be releasing the Great Lakes' record The Distance Between in Europe on October 7th.

August 20, 2002 - Today Orange Twin Records is releasing the Great Lakes' second album entitled The Distance Between.

The band plans to tour the UK and Scandinavia in November followed by a tour of the U.S. in late November or December. We'll post the dates as soon as they're confirmed

January 16, 2002 - Great Lakes will be contributing one song to an upcoming tribute to Donovan. They'll be covering "Teen Angel". The compilation is set to be released in the summer of 2002 on Darla Records.

November 29, 2001 - A new 7" single will be released by London's Track and Field Organisation with the songs "A Little Touched" and "Morning of My Life". It will be in stores in the U.K. on January 7 but it will be available for mailorder directly from the label starting in December. www.trackandfield.org.uk

Hype City Records in Norway is releasing a 7" single with "Sister City" on the a-side and "Now Is When" on the b-side. Due to be released any day now.

A new LP is almost completed, which will be released in 2002. It will include new stuff, as well as the songs from the La Suprette "Great Lakes Come Storming"
6-song cd which (due to the fact that La Suprette went under) were never properly released.

Tentative plans are underway for another European Tour in the spring or summer of 2002, after the release of the new album.

And the great lakes will be contributing a song to Track and Field's "Pow! to the People" compilation record, which will also include tracks from Beachwood Sparks, the Clientele, the Tyde, the Aislers Set, and many more. Due out around Easter 2002.
