Jon - Vocals/Guitar
Adam - Guitar/Vocals
Colie - Bass
Lee - Drums

Gilt's original name was Unknown when they first started the band in January of 2001. That was pretty much because the band had just really got started, and they wanted a name then, and nobody had any ideas, so Unknown popped up. At this point Jon Boan was in charge of bass and vocals, but there was slight confusion brought up from this, so soon after Colie Davis was introduced to Unknown by Lee Merriman, the drummer. Colie came to practice and was officially the bassist after this point. It wasn't long after this that the band's name was changed over to Gilt.

Before the band began, Jon would bring his guitar over to Lee's house after school to play around, but that didnt really last too long. It was about a year or two after that, that Lee didn't hear anything from Jon anymore. Then one day he called Lee up and wanted him to come to Chesterfield and play drums for him and his friend Adam Gregory, guitar. The next night they practiced again, then the next night, etc. Then before they realized it, they were a band. Playing covers from other bands such as Green Day, Misfits, Smashing Pumpkins and more, they decided to write their own music, and that's just what they did.
