Dear Parents and Band Students:
Welcome back to band. Mr. Chipman is promising a great show this year and we have a lot to look forward to. I have spoken with many of the freshman parents this summer, but let me introduce myself. I am Denise Gowen, Band Booster President for this year. I have a senior in the band, Chris Gowen, trumpet. I also have a 12 year old, Andrew, who is in the band at Shadowlawn. We have a great band booster board this year. Pat Flynn, Vice President, Mark Summers, Treasurer, and Beverly Hale, Secretary. We also have some people that are very committed to helping your band succeed: Alice Putnam, uniforms, Peggy Rhoades, chaperones, Mary Huntley and Loretta Henley, concession stand; Pat Flynn and Jerry Heston, medical help for band camp.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE IT BETTER!!!!!!!
We urgently need help during band camp in the following areas:
If you are interested in helping at all during band camp, please indicate that below and either come with your student, ready to help, or call me at 377-9298. We encourage everyone to help.

Band Booster Meeting----Monday, August 20, 7:30 p.m., Ellendale Baptist Church, 3861 Broadway Road, Bartlett
Upcoming fundraiser information----JC Penney, August 4 and 18. Money raised will go towards the student’s spring trip. Information to be sent home soon.
Please come and be a part of your student’s band experience. It is never too late and old and new faces are always welcome. Being involved in the band is something you will always remember. Please sign below and have yoiur student return the bottom portion to me at band camp.
