We finished recording our debut album, Stories About You, on October 15, 2000. We began recording on September 5, and have continued to record on Michael's off-days and on weekends. We started on Friday the 13th with only six songs and none of the cover art done, and worked all day and night Saturday until recording was completed around 4 am Sunday morning. We slept for a few hours, and worked all day that Sunday on making CD duplicates (Michael) and cover art for the CD jacket (Lindsay). We released the album locally around Halloween, and a wide-scale release is planned for later this year. The album is called Stories About You for several reasons. Initially, Michael came up with the title because all the songs are written about ourselves or people close to us. Additionally, the phrase "stories about you" comes from a line in the song "Mr. Smith." We also figured that even if none of the songs are actually written about the listener, everyone could find something there that applies to them.
