The Letter
DEAR FATHER, MOTHER:
For you were always there, standing by me.
Sending me the love in which was needed,
To the inner depths of the soul.
Speaking the words, that I could've only heard.
Showing me the signs of the heavens,
That were meant for me to see.
You've touched my heart,
While others tried to make it bleed.
Some things I didn't understand,
And yet you still stood by me!
You took my hand,
And showed me the visions of life's mystery.
I'm still just a child,
Learning and experiencing.
You ask only love from me!
Such fear has gripped this world,
Many don't want the peace.
Never reaching out to you,
For this is what I see!
The smile that touches ones heart,
Is one, that they don't want to accept.
Yet, I still am trying to reach out.
No one knows of the pain!
And still, your smile touched the heart again saying,
"Don't give up child,
for you are like a flower unto this world.
Please hold on, don't give up,
Keep on trying, for here is my hand.
I'm always here, time after time,
Again and again.
I will never deny you,
So please, Take Heart Child,
For Love Is Making The Stand".
