Our History
High Society, a band formed in 1996 under the original name of The Chips. The first recordings on Jason's lani included Niaomi, Once in a Lifetime, Freedom, and Coincedence. Through the years we have been through numerous different musicians and several different names but our passion for music remains the same.
Our Music.
Well, if the music of High Society could be summed up in any particular genre, it would be 60's punk (if there is such a thing). However, we are not limited to this genre and often experiment in jazz, hard rock, ska, punk and even some blues. Our main influences for our music is from such bands as: The Beatles, The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Booker T. and the MG's, Beethoven, Elton John, Reel Big Fish, Offspring, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and many others who's unique and individualistic styles contributed to our love of music and our own style. We are, more then anything else, dedicated to preserving our style, and enjoying ourselves, for if we dont love what we do, how can anyone else?
