Tempe is a pretty cool town next to Arizona state universty. It is one of the stops in the traveling sceen. Lately it has been cracking down on kids just like everywhere else in the country. It's still worth visiting though. I'm gonna tell you about a few place to squat or park, so you can avoid getting hassaled. Most kids squat in Papago park on the other side of the lake. The park is in the Pheniox city limits so Tempe police don't bother you there, and the park is mostly a wilderness perserve so Pheniox police rarely mess with anyone. If your gonna park your rigg and don't want to mess with the city.The Tonto national forest is only about twenty miles east and is totally legaly to park and camp. (The closest spots to camp are next to the salt and verde rivers.)

Although Monster Island is a real place, the proprietors do not want the location to become too well known, fearing that twould then be overrun by the greatest monster of all: man. So my trip there was planned in secret and I had to remain blindfolded during my flight. But it was all worth it, Monster Island was the best vacation I've ever had. Being able to walk up to a 20 foot high bug was just about the coolest thing in the world. I thought the giant ape and other "Monsters" on the island would be in cages, or inaccessible, but tare quite friendly and accessible.
