View of Zaguan from Kitchen

The spacious kitchen leads through an archway to a gathering room which leads through another archway to the zaguan. The floor of that gathering room had the topography of Tibet when we bought this neglected adobe. We smoothed her out, and what appeared was beautiful. We simply polished the results of 80 years of wear and floor fashion, and people say it looks like marble now.

Zaguan Doorway

The original construction lacked doors - all rooms spilled into the zaguan through open arches. To accomodate the current prevaling desire for privacy, we added doors, hinting at Spanish-Moorish ambience by echoing the existing zaguan arch with painted detail.

Small Bath

The second bedroom, though not as grand as the master suite, is also spacious, with hardwood flooring, high coved ceiling, and has it's own private full bath with a large, comfy tub.
