TDC Minutes

Board Meeting
June 3, 2002
Home of Holly Small

sponsors and advertisers and advised that she contact  Diane Seabury for the addresses.
2. There were many positive comments about the show.
3. A discussion ensued about offering payback classes at the November show. The classes will be put in the
Omnibus and  J. Parker will do a write-up for the newsletter. The payback classes will be run as separate rides.  The entry fees will be be $50, and TDC will add $100 for each class, with $150 for PSG. This was motioned by S. Rosenberg and seconded by L. Boice and passed.

Ways and Means
1.Terri Wayne reported that the problem with the women's polos has been remedied and TDC now has them for sale.
2. TDC made about 500-600 dollars from the sale of T's at the show.
3. A suggestion that the balance of the T's be sold at schooling shows was positively received

August General Meeting
Will be held August 24th at L. Boice and will be a barbeque and swap tack sale.

By-Laws: Proposed Changes
1. I. Callahan volunteered to get the By-Laws onto the computer so changes and typos can be made quickly and easily.
2. The two changes proposed are:
a. Membership: Article II, Section 1: Associated Membership-Newsletter only, Non-Voting.
b. Officers: Article III, Section 7: Signing of checks by 2 parties

M. Quinto Scholarship Award
1. Due to available funds, two scholarships will be awarded in each division. The awards will be $200 each for the open division, $200 each for amateur; and $100 each for juniors. This was motioned by E.S.-Masek and seconded by S. Rosenberg and passed.
2. The judges will be Jan Johnson, Pat Frederick and Peggy Wagoner.

Noel Hansen Sportsmanship Award
1. The Board is exempt
2. The Board will be the judge
3. The general membership will nominate people
4. Sept 15th is the deadline for submission
5. J. Parker will do a write-up for 
Transitions.

NEW BUSINESS
TDC Assistance for ADA State Championships
E.S.-Masek motioned that TDC make a donation of $500 to the State Championships. In the past the donation was $100. Following much discussion, it was suggested that TDC also make a donation of $500 to CARA for the Regional Show.  This donation is to help create the best show environment possible and relieve some of the stress involved in hosting such a large show.  This donation helps both the state and regional shows. This motion was seconded by S. Rosenberg and passed. L. Boice had no problem with the finances.

Year-end Awards Software Program

Debbie Legner has written software that automates the scoring for the year-end awards.

Several points about the program are that it is ACCESS 2000-based; the cost is a minimum of $350; it will include a manual; and maintenance/technical support will be $50 per hour. J. DiNatale volunteered to be the back-up person on this project. The discussion was tabled until the next meeting and J. Parker will obtain further clarification from Debbie.

The next board meeting will be August 5, 2002, at S. Rosenberg's at 6:45 P.M.

E. S.-Masek motioned and S. Rosenberg seconded the motion that the meeting adjourns. The motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 8:25 P.M.

Present were Board members Jennifer Parker, Holly Small, Ellie Stine-Masek, Iréna Callahan, Lynn Boice, Shelley Rosenberg, Michelle Manshardt, Julie DiNatale and Beth High.  Also present was Terri Wayne. Necessarily absent was Robin Ritter. President Jennifer Parker called the meeting to order at 7:02 P.M.

Minutes: Minutes from the previous meeting were motioned for approval by E. S.-Masek. S. Rosenberg seconded the motion and it passed with minor corrections being made by I. Callahan.

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's report was approved as submitted by L Boice. The organization is in fine financial shape. L. Boice will straighten out the bank in regards to the interest-bearing checking account.

Membership Report: There are 169 paid memberships. Pat Baker and D. Seabury met with S. Glock.

S. Rosenberg reported the following schedule for the schooling shows:

University Credit Program
B. High reported the following:
1.  The Art of Bitting, June 17,  Saddle Shop
2.  Pilates,  August 10, Body Works Studio
3.  Two additional trainers have volunteered their services for this program filling the program for the balance of the year.

May Show
1. E. S.-Masek  requested that J. DiNatale write thank you notes to
