Present were Board members Ellie Stine-Masek, Carolyn VandenBerg, Michelle Manshardt, Debbie Legner, Iréna Callahan, Beth High, Rachel Tanenbaum, Robin Ritter and Lynn Boice. Necessarily absent was Jennifer Parker. Also present were Terri Wayne, Wendy Russell, Guy Vaughn, Scarlett Fahrenson, Anna Calek and Jeanne Moody. President Ellie Stine-Masek called the meeting to order at 2:15 P.M.
Minutes: Minutes from the previous meeting were approved with minor corrections being made by I. Callahan.
Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's report was approved as submitted by L Boice. The organization is in fine financial shape. Membership Report: There are 150 paid memberships.

NEW BUSINESS Ellie Stine-Masek reported the following: A. The major expense is the monthly newsletter and that a sponsor to underwrite the annual $1,200 incremental cost is being sought. B. $1,200 was raised for TROT from the schooling show. C. A suggestion was made that perhaps TDC may want to schedule schooling shows for fund raisers but a volunteer is needed to run the schooling show. D. The Juniors Five program is being worked on by A. Calek. E. Library is available through D. Seabury. F. T. Wayne is chair of Ways and Means G. The scholarship given at the awards dinner requires an application in the newsletter.

The freestyle clinic has been cancelled and a replacement will be substituted, possibly Cindy Collins. E.S-Masek has contacted her and will have a report at the next meeting. The dates are October 13/14 with a back-up date of Sept 15/16. Local dressage trainers need to get more involved in TDC activities so the next general meeting will be a barbecue at L. Boice's, Saturday August 25th. The party will be worked on by R. Tannenbaum and I. Callahan. All trainers will be sent invitations .
Motion to adjourn was made by I Callahan seconded by L. Boice and carried. The meeting was adjourned at 2:35 P.M. and turned over to S. Fahrenson who talked about the differences in dressage between the US and Germany.
