could tell that Margret was having fun and loves to teach. What a pleasure!
Ellie Stine-Masek: I rode Glenda Toll's talented mare, Wjuanita, in the clinic. I needed to ask the mare for "more": more connection, more throughness, closing her more together from the hind-end. I suspected Wjuanita was ready to give "more," and Margret helped me confirm it. I liked that she related to me at my level; she didn't patronize me. The feedback was appropriate for my level.
Sheila Pitt: When I asked Margret questions, she answered in easy-to-understand terms. She was thorough

and eager to be sure we understood the theory behind the corrections. She's a talented teacher as well as rider.
Andrea Hausner: I am new to dressage, and this was my first clinic. I enjoyed it very much and learned a lot. I am German and so there was a good connection for me.
While Scarlett served a sumptuous luncheon, we had the opportunity to chat casually with Margret. She was very impressed with the quality of horses at the clinic. "I didn't expect such good quality horses but it was very nice for me." Someone asked her to list the top five most important aspects of dressage. This seemed to stump her for the

moment, and then her eyes sparkled while she smiled. "The number one thing is to relax and have fun. Don't be so serious all the time. And numbers 2 through 5: forget about them!"
Margret will be back in Arizona for the CARA Sporthorse Auction on November 3rd. She will be a demonstration rider showing off the horses offered for sale. Check it out! Prior to the Auction, Margret is tentatively scheduled to clinic at St. Georg Dressage on October 31st and November 1st. Early reservations are important because there is a waiting list. TDC members will be given priority in registration. Auditors must also reserve a spot. Please contact Scarlett Fahrenson at (520)455-4751 for further information.
