VOLUME 6, NO. 3

Meet the TDC Board of Directors

Here's a short introduction written by each of the TDC Officers:
President Ellie Stine-Masek:  "I am serving my second year as President of TDC.  I have spent the past year learning the job, so I hope to offer better leadership to encourage more participation in club activities.  I would like to have the club offer programs that would be of interest to the entire horse community in Tucson."
Vice President Jennifer Parker: Jennifer has been a TDC member for 24 years (!X?!). "After spending four years as a Board member, I am now serving as the TDC Vice President.  I plan to work with Beth High to develop the TDC University education program.  My horse, Bogotta, and I are currently competing at Prix St. George."
Treasurer:  Lynn became a TDC member last year.  "I enjoy dressage, eventing, and jumpers."

Recording Secretary Iréna    Callahan:  Iréna has been a TDC member for eight years.  "When Doris [Leacy] from the Nominating Committee called, I thought, 'Why not?'"
Corresponding Secretary     Debbie Legner:  Debbie has been a TDC member for seven years. "I joined TDC because my daughter was eventing at that time.  Although I love jumping, I have resigned myself to only watching; there isn't enough Dramamine in the world to get me past crossrails.  My Arabian Lita taught me the basics.  Now my Hannovarian Nana is teaching me to ride."
Parliamentarian Robin Ritter: Robin joined TDC in 1993.  "Saloma and I are competing at second and third level.   I'm hoping to achieve a bronze USDF medal before her retirement at the Beat the Heat Show."
Board  Member Beth High: This is Beth's second year with TDC.

"My partner and the love of my life is Noah, a Trakehner cross gelding.  I've been riding dressage for 2 years with Jennifer Parker as my coach.  We are currrently showing at first level, hoping to advance to second level this fall.  I am passionately committed to the sport of dressage and this club.  Tucson Dressage rocks!!"
Board Member Michelle       Manshardt: This is Michelle's first year with TDC. "I have served as president and show manager of my college equine club for the last two years.  I am looking forward to sharing my experience and enthusiasm with the Tucson dressage community."
Board Member Rachel             Tanenbaum: Rachel has been a TDC member for nine years.  She has served TDC as volunteer coordinator and Board member.  Rachel took a maternity leave of absence, but will be back for the May show with her Percheron/Shagya Arabian gelding Snowden.
