President's Message
Dear TDC Members, The most successful May Beat the Heat Show has come and gone. This year, TDC hosted over 100 horses, 3 rings, and 2 full days of competition. I would like to personally thank the many volunteers who contributed their time and effort to make this show run so smoothly. I would encourage our membership to personally thank these volunteers and the sponsors and advertisers. Without their help our shows would not be possible. A special note of gratitude goes to Shelley Rosenberg and Robin Ritter, our volunteer coordinators who organized the workforce, and Alan Leacy who did a wonderful job as the barn manager.
Although summer has most definitely arrived, TDC is not slowing down. Look for information about an upcoming bitting seminar with Alixe Etherington of Dewsbury Bits. This seminar will count as a TDC Dressage University credit. The first of the summer schooling shows, hosted by the Cochise Dressage & Combined Training Association, will take place this month in Hereford. In addition, begin preparing for the second annual TDC used tack sale to be held in conjunction with out next general meeting, a potluck BBQ, August 24th at Willow Woods Stables. This general meeting will be an important one for the entire membership to attend, as we will be reviewing the TDC By-laws and voting on proposed changes.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 520-235-5145 or by email at JPAgape@aol.com.
Sincerely, Jennifer A. Parker
