TDC Minutes

General Board Meeting
December 7, 2001
University of Arizona Meat Lab

Present were Board member Jennifer Parker, Iréna Callahan, Robin Ritter, Beth High, and Carolyn VandenBerg. Also present were Elissa Hambright, Anna Calek, Eileen Swiers, Marcia Kleiman, Doris Leacy, Julie Mitchell, Wendy Russell, W. Jones, C. Whittaker, Jade Dotson, Cathy Schreiber, Pat Baker-Hutter, Dian Seabury, Nancy Miller, Larry Miller, Anne Gilmartin, Benita Gettel, Terri Wayne, Lindy Olsen, and Allyson Armstrong.

Vice President Jennifer Parker called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.

Minutes: Minutes from the previous general meeting were approved.

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's report was approved as submitted.

Membership Report: There are 170+ memberships. There were six responses to the new membership policy of $45 for a 15-month membership. It is renewal time, and the policy is that all membership forms and checks must be MAILED to S. Glock and will not be accepted any other way.

NEW BUSINESS
D. Leacy made a suggestion that new prizes be awarded for recognized shows. Suggestions were made and a discussion about money took place. The Board will pursue this suggestion next year.

A suggestion was made for a saddle fitting clinic by Jan Young.

Learner Judges Program
A. This program will probably be

offered in May or June.
B. The requirements for this program are 3 scores of 60% or better at 2nd level or above from 3 different judges and 12 hours of scribing for an "R" judge.
C. The cost for the program will range between $750-$1000.
D. Most of the administrative paperwork has been completed.

The next general meeting will be held Monday, January 7, 2002, at the University of Arizona Meat Lab, at 7:00 p.m.

Motion to adjourn was made by A. Calek, seconded by D. Seabury, and carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m. and turned over to Cindy Collins, who lectured about musical freestyles.
