2003 ARIZONA STATE DRESSAGE
CHAMPIONSHIP RULES

A. QUALIFYING

1. Open to any Arizona resident, including student resident (U.S. citizenship not required). Rider must also be a member of Arizona Dressage Association or Tucson Dressage Club or the Cochise Dressage and Combined Training Association. (GMO = Group Member Organization of USDF - United States Dressage Federation).

2. Competition year for the 2003 State Championships qualifying is from October 1, 2002, through September 30, 2003. The championship classes will be held in Fall 2003.

3. Horse/rider combinations must earn two (2) qualifying scores under two (2) different judges at USAEquestrian/USDF-recognized shows in any test of the level.

4. Horse/rider combination may move up a level during the qualifying year. Horse/rider combination may compete at only two consecutive levels at the championship classes or the open show held in conjunction with the Championships. Only one horse/rider combination per division per level.

5. Horse/rider combination must declare rider's status (Open, Adult Amateur, or Junior/Young Rider) and must provide proof of eligibility to show management.

B. COMPETITION

1. Qualifying competitions must be recognized by USAEquestrian and USDF.

2. Qualified horse/riders will be published in the ADA
Centerline. Other entrants not on this list must provide a photocopy of the facesheet of their qualifying scores showing the name and date of the qualifying competition and the

1. Trophy, ribbon, and merchandise to Champion. Reserve Champion ribbon; and ribbons to 3rd through 6th place in each championship class.

2. Championship classes do not count towards any 2002-2003 ADA Yearend Awards. The Arizona State Championship is a separate competition.
