TDC will host a USDF "L" Education Program for Judge Training starting this October.
The purpose of the program is: (a) to provide pre-training for future judges and to fulfill the USAE requirement for entering the "r" judges training program; (b) to provide a list of graduates who can show accreditation for judging schooling shows ("L" or "learner" judges); (c) to give the competitor, trainer, and instructor a broader insight into the evaluative techniques of judging; and, (d) to provide ongoing and refresher education for licensed judges.
There are several requirements that must be fulfilled before one can participate in the program. You must be a USDF Participating Member; you must have scribed 12 hours; and you must have either (1) earned three scores of 60% or higher at Second Level or above from three different USAE-licensed judges at recognized competitions OR (2) trained two or more horses which have each achieved four scores of 60% or higher at Fourth Level or above from four different judges at recognized shows OR (3) taught two or more students who have each
