President's Message

Dear TDC Members,

Another month seems to have flown by and TDC is hard at work trying to make this a club that works for you. There is a plethora of information in this newsletter that is relevant to every member.

Please take a moment to carefully review the proposed changes to the By-Laws which will be voted on at the August 24^th General Meeting. There will be a used tack sale and BBQ in conjunction with the General Meeting. If you have any items you want to sell, please contact Leanne Ragel at 749-2380. If you plan on attending the BBQ, please RSVP to Lynn Boice at 298-2363. TDC will be supplying the burgers so we need to know in advance how many people to expect.

In addition, please read the material on the inaugural Noel Hansen Memorial Sportsmanship Award. This special award will be presented at the 2002 TDC Awards Banquet in October. Any TDC member who meets the criteria is eligible and one does not need to be a competitor to earn this award.

Also, please review last month's information about the Marilyn Quinto Memorial Scholarship Awards and submit your applications by the September 15^th deadline. If you have, for some reason, misplaced your July Transitions, you may find the information on our website at
www.tucsondressageclub.org.

Don't forget to sign up for TDC Dressage University, August 10^th, 2-4 pm, at Body Works Studio for a session in Pilates.

There will also be two TDC-approved schooling shows this month: La Mariposa will hold one on the 10^th ; and the Rockin' JP Ranch in Hereford will hold one on August 25th.
