Sandcastle shelties is now located in the southern Arizona desert.
Quite a change from northeastern Utah,
but after close to five years I would say we have adjusted. We have both sables and the any other colors. I started in this breed as a teenager obtaining my first two shelties from Banchory. These two girls were pointed and one had her C.D. My very first litter I bred one of these girls to BIS CH. Windhover Sweet Music Man. That was many years ago, lines have changed somewhat but the one thing that still remains is my love for this breed. At our home our dogs are pets first, showdogs second. Temperment is the MOST important aspect of the sheltie. ALL of our dogs retrieve balls and frisbees. We do have an acre for our dogs to romp and play on, and an air conditioned kennel room to bring them out of the daytime heat. We do several planned breedings a year, the puppies are whelped in our bedroom and handled from the beginning. My husband is a great help with the dogs. We have three children who play an important part with our dogs. One of the kids actively shows in jr. showmanship and helps me in the breed ring as well, and has also beaten me a few times for the win. All of our pet puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts and if they are older most times I have already had them altered before they leave to a new home. They also go with written temperment and health guarantee. Our dogs are genetically tested for eyes, hips,Vwd and thyroid, Thank You for Visiting Our Webpage.
