Many people know about the Sonoran Desert that Arizona is famous for, but few know that the largest Ponderosa Pine tree forest in the world covers much of the State. There are also vast forests of the smaller Juniper and Piñyon trees

This is a close up shot of a "Shaggy Bark Juniper". The leaves are round and scaly. They are evergreen and look beautiful with an icing of snow covering them.
