Dream Maze
The stars winked in the dark sky above a darker sea.
The deep green of the hedge; that looked so small form the house,
become ten feet tall, now that I am standing so near.
Two stone guards sand on either side of an arc mad from the hedge.
They look as if they would move, if I did the wrong thing.
The sea’s crash is the heart beat of this large hedge maze.
With light in hand, I enter my prison, this maze of night.
The ground is laid in stone slabs; a delicate pattern runs’
faded from slab to slab, unaware of bounders.
A peace fills this place, as one I have never known,
and fear fades from mind replaced with a
wonder of this ancient standing.
The light given this place by the stars is pale and blue;
my own light cuts through the blue with it’s warm golden beam.  How long I’ve been here, I’ll never know.
I was young when I entered, but will be old when I leave.
Yet the night sky has never changed.
This place is full of the art of an age past.
Statues are half engulfed in the hedge, but never lost completely.  Cubic blocks sit in every dead end;
engravings of Sun, Moon, Stars
and Sky are found on the face of every block.
I feel that they are some clue as to how to leave this place.
Then one time I came upon a new place.
A sort of hedge room.
Each face on the cube hold something of that I’ve seen before.
Sun, Moon, Sky and Stars.
A cube sits on a pedestal and atop the cube a strange oddity.
It was collide as if it were a snake that had been tied in a knot.
Then from the place were it faced the sky,
wings like those of a dragon stretched up to the stars.
Amazed was I to also find that this dragon thing was covered in fur.
And yet on further inspection I found it’s head at the bottom of the coil, with eyes that gleamed like gems berried deep within the earth
and threatened death.
I feel as if I have violated this place,
and should not be here.

At The Worlds End
My love, you said we'd meet here, at the worlds end.
I'm here my love!  I'm here!
It's just like you said it would be, my love.
I can see more stars then i've ever seen in my life, love!
Just like you said it would be!

It's just like you said it would be my love!  Oh!
How my heart sorres to see more then it can hold.  Oh my love!
Why aren't you here?  You said you'd be here,
waiting for me to come to you.
Where are you?

The wind is so strong here my love.
It comes up from under the eage of the world, just like you said!  The wind  takes my breath away.
It's so stong; I feel as if I'm flying,
but my feet are still on the ground.
It feels like it use to feel when you held me close
in your arms my love...

Why did you leave me love?
Why did you have to go away?

I'v had to be so strong without you...
Like you said I would have to be.
You left before our life could start...you left me alone...
...you left our child alone.
Now he's grown and only I stand alone.
You said you'd meet me at the worlds end.
I've been so strong on my own, but now I am tired and I need you my love to be strong for me.
I'm waiting for you.
You said you'd be here, waiting for me...on this side of life.
Were did you go my love.
The sky full of stars, the wind that lets me fly...
I'm here my love.
I'm here...

I Have No Regrets

One who said this and truly means it, is not a perfect man.
He has not had life fall perfectly into place.  He has not walked on a red carpet, or a path paved in Gold.
No.  He was not a perfect man.  Things did not
always go right for him.  But that one small
line that he has to say can teach us so much
about what he did with his life.  It may not
have been perfect, it may not even have been good; he may have caused much of his misfortune.
But we can learn one vary big lesson from his words of    wisdom.         He made his peace with life before it ended.
He stood up tall and said;
"I didn't always do things right.  I messed up and I messed up some other people’s lives, and for that I'm sorry.  But I will not live in self-pity.  I take responsibility for my life and I have made my peace with it."

a knights dance

Two men locked in a dance to the death.  The sea crashes hard on the beach of pebbles, pulsing with the beat of life.  The sun, high in the deep blue of the sky, glints off seal clad figures on the beach.
Crystal blue water troughs it's self upon the shore.

Two men upon the beach; one of higher skill using his opponent’s
anger against him; the second enraged and offended fights for the honor of his beloved.

The rocks are turning read.  It becomes clear who will win.  The loser’s life turn seal red.  Two men locked in a dance to the death become one man in victory with only his life.

A Name
To be loved you must be Named.
To be Named, is to Exist.
To Exist, is to live in Love.
To Love, is to Win.
To Win, is life.
The un-Namer is out there.  He seeks to take away your Name.  When he takes away your Name, you do not exist.  When you don't exist, Columbine, suicide-bombing, war...  When we un-Named, Hate wins.  If we keep on un-naming people then we will be left with a world of hate.  Name.  Don’t un-name.

Come on home!
