Post 109 is a small, active Post, Chartered in 1979 in the Department
of Arizona's District # 2. They are located 25 miles southeast of Tucson,
in the Sonoran Desert, seven miles south of I-10 exit 275, in the foothills
of the Santa Rita Mountains at 3,450 feet elevation. The current membership
is 348 active Legionnaires, 170 Auxiliary Ladies and about 90 SAL members,
and growing. They sponsor Boy Scout Troop 770, American Legion Boys State,
American Legion Girls State, Girl Scouts, Jr. Girls, and they have become
an active participant in our small, but growing community.
Our troop has our meetings here and our fundraising dinners here all
for just the service of keeping the legion area clean and preforming in
the legions patriotic ceremonies, such as there Vetrains Day Parade and
Flag Retirement Ceremonies!
