Children and the Holocaust

wpe6.jpg (6298 bytes)

Between 1933 and 1945, six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust. One and a half million of them were children.  Of the few who survived, some did so by hiding in places such as sewers, under floor boards, or in graves.  Few actually survived Nazi concentration camps.  For example, 15,000 children entered through the gates of Terezin and only 100 exited them.   Although they survived, the majority faced continued obstacles throughout adulthood.
